Well, there are indices on the dial, they simply aren't applied. Indexes or indices simply refer to the markers, which may also be printed.

A sandwich dial is a layered construction of two or more discs where the bottom disc - or whatever is put onto that disc - is visible through holes/grooves cut into the top layer. This dial is a single disc with grooves cut into it, which have then been filled with gold paint or laid bare, depending on what the material is.

    So not a sandwich dial.

@Omega world - perhaps you should be a little less aggressive towards others when discussing fairly irrelevant nuances when it is clear that you do not know much about the subject.

Yes, the famous sandwich dialed Pateks, specifically suited for slim dress watches.

No, you didn't, or you had a poor teacher. @ConElPueblo is correct. The dial in question is not a "sandwich" dial. The indices were milled from one piece of metal.

I never said in my previous post that you can get a better example for $4k. But why settle for an unattractive dial just so you can get it at a low price? If all you can afford is $4k then it is better to save more money and get an example that is attractive. You just aren't going to get much for $4k in the PP world today.
