You need to request membership and it will be approved eventually, you have to be patient. It's a community, not really catering to fly-bys.

Anyway, @Syrte started a thread there about your watch.

Put an entry on MWR site, www.mwrforum.net (Military Watch Forum)
The guys on there will give you all the details you want in a heartbeat.

Not a bad idea, but not all the experts there are guys. Case in point a wonderful member here @Syrte who was mentioned above.

@Syrte and I are both mods there and may be able to expedite membership. It's been a closed "private" forum for a while now as people were harvesting info and images for their own financial gain but the breadth and depth of knowledge there is second to none. They know stuff you don't even know you don't know.

It is bonkers that someone would have thrown this away when just a quick type of "omega watch" into eBay would have given evidence of at least some value. Their loss, I guess. What a find!

I was emailing a watch expert and he valued the piece at 6k USD

Find another "watch expert"; one who's familiar with vintage military watches. That valuation sounds ridiculously low.

Can you please share what videogames were in the garbage?

A mint 1/26 'Nintendo World Championship' cartridge would pair well with this watch 😉

Congratulations, OP. These watches are extremely cool. While Omega and Breitling are the two most valuable makers of these RCAF chronographs, these aren't the easiest watches to sell in my experience. I replied to one of your threads over on MWR, too. Darren Crabb's book is highly recommended.

Congratulations again,

Myron
