·I have had this watch for awhile now. I was lucky enough to save it from being thrown into the dump. I’m wondering if I should sell it, have it serviced, worked on, or donate it somewhere (like a military museum)

Do with it what you want. If you'd like to wear it, have it serviced and cleaned. Being an RCAF watch, I assume you're Canadian. There's at least 1 good Canadian watch maker who plies these fora (@Archer).

·That watch is a gem and I would dearly love to own one. My father was in the RCAF from about 1959 to 1979 as a radar tech, and from what I have discovered online thus far if he had been issued a watch it might have been one of these!

·Breitling also supplied them, Although I am not sure if they would have marked crowns wshen supplied to the DoD

·Yeah I did find that there were a few different suppliers back then: Omega, Breitling, Rodania, Birks…. maybe Waltham and CWC for field watches? From what I can tell the Omega was the only 38mm watch and the rest were 36’s?
If my Dad had actually passed down a watch to me I would wear it regardless of the size, but otherwise 38mm would be my minimum, and even that seems a bit small on my wrist depending on the dial…

I owned a Rodania that was 38 mm.
