I've never seen the forum's Alert Notices come in so quickly. It's like Basel-geddon.

[emoji14] Hi @Riviera Paradise

All in Good Fun but Riviera are you sure are comfortable with her height ?
I estimate she's all 17.25 mm high !

I suppose I will just have to wear high heels to go with my Burberry handbag and Danish girl look馃槻馃榿馃榿

Actually Megan I was thinking about the traditional Speedmaster Professional with the Moonphase complication. When I saw the Basel 2016 launch the new Speedy Moonphase Blue, it intrigued me....and I started hunting down previous Speedy Moonphase examples....I then realized that there was an existing model available, which looks elegant and has the added bonus of a transparent case back for the 1861 movement.

I am also now smitten with the new Explorer 1 launched at Basel 2016.

Incidentally....I have discovered renewed love my Orbis Hour Vision馃榾...I have been wearing it for several days now...so it will probably not be flipped any time soon...so the Speedy Pro Moonphase and new Explorer 1 will probably occupy slots 9 and 10 in my collection....which would leave out the Globemaster blue dial SS for now馃槻

Did they included micro adjusted clasp on new POs?

I think so.

I listened to the interview on Watch Insider and I think that the Omega VP was referring to a micro adjustment.

Was a bit hard to understand but I think that is what he was trying to say.

Going back to white numerals on the Explorer I from the shiny metallic numerals is a massive improvement. I don't have any excuses left for not owning an Explorer.

Compared to last year's show, 2016 has been rubbish. Quite dissapointed, but also feeling vindicated in concentrating on the older models.

... And now I can look at my LMLE with confidence and say to it " you still got it babe, you still got it. Still number 1"

I like that. I like that a lot....so much so I might quote it to mine before I turn off the light tonight. 馃榾

I agree 2015 was better, but I would say 2014 was superb: Tresor, Seamaster 300, Apollo XI-45, MkII and Grey Side of the Moon...compare that 2014 line-up with what Omega are offering in Basel 2016. It does look very weak indeed.

Dunno @Longbow

I'm wincing in pain here staring at my beloved Blue Connie SS bracelet with 4 hands/GMT. It just makes the Vintage 1950s charm disappear. No longbow.
i'l just keep it simple & clean.
I obviously grossly underestimated the amount of acid consumed by Omega's designers this year. My risqu茅 Globemaster with an orange GMT thing was waaaay too conservative. They should rename the show BizzareWorld 2016 and move the start date to 1st April. What the F#*@k is going on? Who's going to buy this stuff? A blind Arabic Gangster Rapper maybe? @meganfox17 if you were wincing in pain before you must be close to a coma by now. So, clearly I must try harder to enter into the spirit of this years weirdness...but don't anyone dare say they like the result...

Hi @Riviera Paradise

I'm not a Rolex fan so i cant comment much but for the price of an Explorer , i could have purchased a DeVille Orbis Hour Vision , did my part for charity, AND brought home a Tudor BBB. Anyway the explorer looks like a Tudor Heritage Ranger from afar
Old fashion Riviera is more of a tradisionalist Moonphase complication Guy ? You're well aware the modern version's more accurate & needs adjustment..every 10 yrs or so ?
Ok grandpa Riviera is 75 yrs old on his rocking chair by the fireplace telling wonderful stories to his grandchildren about the JFK''s promise to put America in space & on the moon by end of the decade & stories of lunar missions. How Incredibly Cool would that be if Grandpa Riviera could also actually show his grandkids High Resolution NASA imaging of Neil Amstrongs footprints on the surface of the moon. To me that's not gimmicky but educational. The 1st upright walking Human footprints on earth to the 1st footprints on the moon took 4.5 million yrs ! And here you are having sleepless nights trying to decide which model to choose from when i could have picked one with my eyes closed in a Heartbeat !

Speedmaster GSOTM with Meteorite Dial ! Okeeyyyyy.....

c8ca46dfaa7ef06dfa467d1a562e0007.jpg

Isnt Meteor DNA Highly Magnetic made up of iron , higher extra terresterial nikel content & other rare heavy elements ? This timepiece must be heavy then !
Errr...Is it Metas Certified with all that metal tracings ?
Why stop at meteorites ? Omega should have just continued sprinkling some Moon Dust DNA onto the dial or embedded into a cool Moon medallion on the back casing

You know.. i have read somewhere.. a predecessor watch kindda similar to GSOTM Mr Meteorite here. Wait a minute.....lemme see....

Romain Jerome 1969 Heavy Metal Meteorite
What's on the back casing on Omega's Meteorite Dail ? Haley's Comet ..?!
Is that depleted Uranium on the back of that RJ?

Great question. I know everyone wanted to see one, but I haven't found any proof yet.

Why is the Good Planet AT with the Basel watches?

This came out last year.
