just me, or is there WAY less excitement this year re: baselworld?

 

Hmmm.....good observation.....

 

I'm even more interested in Baselworld this year than previously - TAG Heuer has some interesting things up their sleeve for the first time in ages, Omega is already off to a decent start with the Speedmaster co-axial moonphase (I like it) and the orange swirl is kinda intriguing; Tudor's bronze watch isn't for everyone but it's cool they're continuing with their classic design touches; even that Chopard manual-wind calendar chrono is bringing some interesting new stuff to the table. I can't wait for the next couple days!

 

It's true there is not as much chatter. I too am very curious about this year though. Very very curious.

 

My secret inside sources tell me that it could quite possibly be a new strictly Limited Edition Boutique Only Miley Cyrus Orange Side of the Ceramic Blood Moon that's being teased here pre Basel 2016

 

I know for a fact that green is Gemini 4 Commander Jim McDivitts favorite color so this is not encouraging.

 

Black ceramic with a blood moon - that would look very sinister. A sort of must-have watch for bad guys everywhere.

 

Hmm...things are getting curiouser and curiouser. Now we're seeing carbon fibre cloth...

Well our very own insider did tell us the Liquidmetal technologies where coming into the PO lines this year...so that would make sense with what we are seeing. Making a ceramic diver though that would be as asinine as making a ceramic speedy...
