My Omega Service Timeline

Of course, what everyone has been waiting for, what does the watch look like?

I am very happy with how it all turned out. I only have one minor quibble, the constellation logo on the back of the watch isn't straight like in the before photos. I am guessing the scratch at the three o'clock position was too deep to complete polish out, since it is there in the before photos as well.

Would I do it again? For a timepiece like this, yes. I bought this to celebrate a promotion at work, and hope to turn it into an heirloom piece. I like the fact that it was restored to a brand new watch. For an heirloom piece? Probably not. I can see where some would say Omega removes a lot of the character of a watch with how they service it. I do wish communication through the service tracker had been better, as there was a lot of dead air and lack of communication/updates. But, at the end of the day, it was worth it.

I bought a new NATO strap before sending the watch in for service.

After I get the Constellation back, I'll use it with the new Omega Nato.

I don't see any point in ordering a replacement from the service center or buying one online from Omega.

When I had the service done I asked for a new strap - Vegan Leather was supplied(!). I took the buckle off that and used it with a real leather strap I had on hand.... So don't order a strap from the Omega Service.
