·I would definitely ask for a replacement.
Will be interesting to see what they say...
I think you and me both have the same idea of what they'll say.
And what would they say? 😕
I think you and me both have the same idea of what they'll say.
How many times have we seen watches on here, fresh from an AD, with adjustments and flaws that fall well outside Omega’s own tolerances?
Here's the thing - do you have proof it was there when you left the store with it?
To me, that will be the bigger issue...
I don't. But then again, you expect a new product to be flawless. I hope they can see that it’s an imperfection and not from whacking it into something/dropping it, which should facilitate the discussion. Fingers crossed
No idea, maybe you could tell us? And maybe you could tell us how many of those watches Omega has refused to put right.
I can't see the defect well enough, but from what I can see it looks more like impact damage than a flaw. Like I said, it will be interesting to see what they say.
Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't always take a large impact to chip these...it depends very much on where the impact it, and how the force in concentrated.
Let us know.
Cheers, Al
OP, this is pretty old, but maybe worth reading through it, and the other thread on the same thing?

I’ve sent an email to Omega customer support. Let’s see what happens 😀
I really don’t beleive the watch could have been dropped due to the fact that the imperfection is mostly on the back of the case. I also feel it’s almost impossible to whack it agains something on that side. I’ve added another picture from the side where it is really not noticeable. But it’s when I turn the watch around that I automatically stare at it
I noticed a dent that was bigger than the one on your watch in the same location while removing the stickers on a brand new Rolex Milgauss. I wondered the same thing - how can a watch get dented in that location? I took it back and exchanged it. Apparently it does happen... when the watches go in and out of the display cases they sometimes catch the edges.
