Not sure about the tagline but it’s definitely a fine looking watch.

More on the new Murph here.

No Morse code on the seconds hand? Bummer...
It’s a good looking watch, but the second hand does look bare.

Please correct me if I’m wrong (and I know you will), but I think you’re being sarcastic. If so, I completely agree. I personally could care less about having “eureka” spelled out in Morse code on the second hand.

Not being sarcastic at all. I thought it was a "cool" feature of the original...

i always wanted one of these but the 42 was gigantic. . this is really tempting even if the movie was 8 years ago

Agree, as a tie into the movie its missed in my opinion. If the original was 38mm I would have been first in line. Still may pick this up, but I'll wait for either discount or used. Don't get me wrong, I thinks its a fair price, just not as niche as it was.

It ticks in Morse code now. Best of luck servicing it. 😁

I agree they should have kept the seconds hand tie in from the movie. Very nice looking watch though and 38mm is a great size. Love my Khaki Automatic 38. Basically the same watch with different dial and hands.

Perhaps the new offering means less connection to the film, ergo the lack of Morse code on the seconds hand. I’d have preferred it, too, as it was a really unique feature that made the Murph stand out (well, besides its size).

Still, it’s trading on the Murph legacy so the no Morse is definitely a miss.

I got mine for £650 on the Black Friday sales and it’s fantastic, both as a legitimately good tie in to an iconic movie in my opinion and simply as a great watch from a fantastic brand. The strap is frankly horrible though so I switched for a lovely brown Brixham leather strap.

Fantastic. Works much better on a nice brown strap than the monstrous thing they provide it with. Although I might buy the black equivalent of this one. Or possibly a dark blue?

The navy and olive drab straps look great. That thing is a strap monster!
