Hi all, so my Cosmic project is almost ready to be assembled with the help that I got on the forum. At this point the only thing left is a date wheel since the one I have is gold in color and the dial I have is silver (pictured). I came across a black one that I purchased but it turned out to be a scam site. I then came across this red wheel(pictured) but I didn't know if it could be a correct one for a silver dial. There are also a few silver ones out there too, but I thought if the red works, it could be a nice contrast to the dial. I would appreciate some advice in this matter so I can finish this Cosmic.

Why not just ask your local omega repair place to order the right date wheel for you? They still make the part in various colors.

I don't know if I mentioned that this is the right wheel for the movement that I have. Also I do have a line on a few other ones but what I was trying to find out is what colors are acceptable with the dial I have. Thank you.

hard to tell, the photo of your dial is not displaying in your post.

I doubt that red wheel is from an Omega or even this caliber. It definitely wouldn't fit this watch because the date font is positioned for a date at the 6 position. In my experience, this reference has only had a silver wheel with black font. I've come across a few original black-dialed variants which are the exception with a black date wheel with white font.

Thanks Chris. For some reason I didn't pay attention to the fact that the date position is at 6 o'clock. So, silver it is!

Strange! It shows up perfectly fine when I pull it up. In any case it's a moot point now. I was totally wrong, and the posting is incorrect as @masteroftime pointed out. he is an expert in Cosmics and as a matter of fact I sourced a good amount of parts for my watch from him. well, I guess I will have to go with a silver one.
