That’s really nice @Duracuir1 shows your wife pays keen interest into your likes. I really like that example I had one, might have been the same year but the dial got heavy yellowed (highly patinad) over time and it just didn’t grow on me. Although my wife stays away from omega (which is fine she wouldn’t know what to really look for) she does pick me up vintage Bulova, Caravelle etc if she is at a tag sale and sees some. I always appreciate that. Doesn’t matter if she spent five bucks or she gets it home to find the watch doesn’t work it’s the thought. I know “it’s the thought” gets thrown around a lot but it’s definitely true in my case. Your wife sounds like a lovely lady and I always notice in WRUW guys are showing off beautiful watches their wives got them. It’s just as well my wife doesn’t as most of the time I don’t know what the hec I want until I see it, might as well point this thread out to her anyway just incase.
Thank you. She was very supportive last week when I bought my retirement watch. FOIS. Oh, and cat photo too, just for you @Walrus

Ok who got it better than you. Can I give you my number and you have your wife call mine and explain how this is supposed to work?

My watch is now fully serviced. New crown, new crystal.

Watchmakers do a lot!

The watch was a Notomatic! (The automatic winding parts had been removed!). The watch is now a manual winder.

Very pretty! I bought a Gruen (for $35) that was a notomatic- it ran well in the antique shop, I wore it a few times and it kept perfect time but would stop after about a day. Took it to my watch handy friend and he sent me a pic….what’s wrong with this picture? It was missing all the auto parts but would hand wind.
A quick trip to eBay, $30 in a parts movement and a service later, I had a complete watch.

Great piece, she scored a bargain. 😀
I received a grungy 2846 today (I had to pay a lot more) from the UK-- was just looking up @ATracyWatches contact info to see if I can send mine in as well.

@Duracuir1 ,

Next time your bumper automatic needs service, and converting it back to automatic wind, keep this in mind. A lozenge tin with enough parts to complete two bumper Omega movements. I wouldn’t want this to get out, so keep it under your hat! 😁 By the way, to those interested, I don’t sell parts!

Still loving it. I was setting it at 10:10. A few photos were necessary. Omega mesh bracelet (1120 for Chronostop, I think) is a perfect match.

Hope you're aging as well as this watch. It looks fantastic.
