Howdy Y’all, I done went and did it... got my first Seamaster. I’m beyond excited to get into the watch game, especially with a vintage piece. I dug the forums for weeks before I pulled the trigger, asked all the right questions of the seller, and cross referenced everything I could with this excellent forum and the Omega Vintage website. That said, the final critique of the watch was always going to have to come from the fine contributors of this forum, who seem to know more about these watches than probably any other collective of people on the planet. Without further ado, I present my vintage Seamaster Deville. Let me know what you think! This bad boy is still in the mail, so I’ll have to wait to add more detailed pictures if they’re needed, but I pulled the trigger on it already, and it is on its way. Thanks y’all!!!
Welcome to the forum and kudos on doing your research first- then buying. It looks like a very well preserved example and will be a stunner on the wrist. Did the seller say if it had been recently serviced? If not, let us know where you are in the world and someone can reccomend a watchmaker (I assume NY by your avatar). BTW- these gold capped Seamasters really pop on a burgundy croc strap. Don’t cheap out on the leather and get it something really worthy of the watch.
Well done and welcome! Great first omega, a very fine example of a gold-plated SMDV. The dial looks amazing!
