My first seamaster

Hello all, I took delivery of my first vintage seamaster today, was an ebay purchase for a reasonable price. Seller has very good feedback and i am pleased with the watch, it is in better condition than i expected.

Couple of newbie questions, is it usual for an automatic seamaster to make a ticking sound when holding to the ear ? sorry if this is a silly question just i have worn a rolex for the last 10 years and it is silent.

Also when winding the watch is it usual to wind the crown backwards to move the hands clockwise ? again apologies if these are silly questions ?
