How many numbers of Speedmaster Teutonic produced?

So earlier this year i got lucky (or unlucky) and found this odd looking speedmaster. The teutonic with a grey dial, i tried it on my wrist and it just feels right and plus it comes with original box and paper, so i bought it even though it wasn’t cheap. This purchase was not on my budgeting plan and my watch collecting plan.

Ive done some research on this watch in the web, and only found 2 good article about it;

While the two articles above helped me a lot in getting to know this watch, i still have one big question, how many units of the teutonics are ever produced by omega?

Maybe one of you have an answer to this question

Having done a small amount of research on these, I would suggest that your best bet would be to write to Omega directly asking if they have any records of production runs for the particular models you are interested in.

Why did Omega call it a Speedmaster but gave it a back inscribed with Seamaster?

These are very cool speedmasters. I do like these and mk2’s as beauty is in the eye of holder. If you any information on how many were made please post.

I have send an email to omega and still no reply.
Still no answers anyone? Even the great omega collector such as Chuck Maddox didn’t know the production numbers. Mmmm

This is the way these model were. There's another Seamaster/Speedmaster out there but right now it eludes me.

I owned a bi-metal version and really liked the look but I find I like automatics more than hand winders so I sold it.

Oh, I had to deal with that Master Negotiator @efauser who, pleading a dying mother and and four sick children, talked me into practically paying him to take it off my hands.

At that time (end of 70th beginning 80th) Omega used to describe all Speedmaster with a certain given water resistance (imho was about 50m or better) with Seamaster plus seahorse on the caseback. Same with the Mark 4.5.

So omega replied my question but still no answer,

They dont even have pictures of this watch. Apparently i have to wait untill the extract services is acailable on their site.

I rather think you will just have to settle for not knowing production numbers. As you probably know, the extract will not provide that information as it is geared to providing information on the movement and original configuration of the watch plus some other stuff such as delivery location.

Enjoy what you have - it's a nice and unusual Speedmaster.
