You loose less than 1K a year

Buy a $400 Seiko guaranteed to loose less than $400

I don’t but I also don’t want to miss out if it’s a ripper deal.

Here is a ripper deal on a good watch to start with. I would use this website for Aussie purchases

It doesn't sound like a "ripper deal" to me, but what good is it if you only have a $1000 budget.
Budget is $1K for something like an Oris, but if there is a good rap on the Seamaster then it’s worth getting it.

What about this one?

There are so many divers from Seiko, why? They mostly all look the same yet price varies significantly sometimes.

Why you say ? Because of people like you that are picky 😉

For a under $600 diver, Seiko all day long. Once you go up a level you look for movements and better finishing

Myself for the money I would be going the Certina from the first page.

DS Action Diver Powermatic 80 Special Edition

But ultimately it’s up to you not us. Pick one you like and buy it.
Or save up and eat beans and 2 minute noodles for a few months and buy a Omega or a Rolex that way it will be more special.

I'm seriously confused here, you want a watch under $1k and we throw you pearls based on actual experience; not some web fanboy day-dreaming- and you don't really like any of them and want a Rolex, but say it's out of your budget. Then you start looking at "ripper deals" on $5k watches. Stop wasting your own and everyone else time and get the Rolex and be done with it.

That’s A fair comment, my questions have been a bit of a roller coaster.
It’s one of those things where the cheaper watches don’t have the same finish as Omega or Rolex. Iam sure one that did have a more generic automatic movement and lashed out on quality with ceramic bezel, open back etc would fit the bill.

Seiko Marine Master. You’ve already been given the answer.

The Seiko Marinemaster is currently not in production and also dearer than the Longines Hydroconquest.
Isn’t that a bit of a miss match.

You want champagne with beer money.

Save, set yourself a goal and stick to it.

Make vegimite sandwiches for lunch for the next 12 months 😉

Also why sacrifice health for a mere watch whose sole purpose bid to remind you of the time.

The Certina is a very good choice and just like this Seiko quality and value can be found for under $1000

Sacrifice health 😕

Healthy as our Vegemite

By the late 1930s, the brand had finally started to receive some recognition. It was officially endorsed by the British Medical Association in 1939 and advertisements for it began appearing in the British Medical Journal. The product’s high concentration of B vitamins and other nutrients helped Vegemite become a staple in soldiers’ ration packs during World War II. Posters hung up during wartime bore the slogan: “Vegemite: Keeping fighting men fighting fit.” Vegemite’s nutritional benefits were also valued by consumers at home; doctors and even baby care experts were recommending the spread as part of a balanced diet.

I was referring more to having sandwiches everyday.

Healthy as our Vegemite..................................

Right on mate.

Try this if you're scared of Vegemite.

1. Lightly toast a slice of dark rye.
2. Spread a layer of vegemite on the bread (at least 2mm thick).
3. Cover with 3mm thick slices of King Island Roaring Forties Blue.
4. Top with a light smear of Maggie Beer Quince Paste.
5. Open a chilled stout or dark ale of your choice.
6. Munch away.
7. Enjoy.

Had sandwiches everyday from kindergarten to year 10. 😗

Many here have eaten beans for a month for a mere watch before. Search beans

Calling @dsio who is known to have done this more than once.

Is there anyone else who's bought a watch knowing it was actually going to impact your quality of life for 2 weeks or so. I don't mind baked beans so I regret nothing but I'm curious as to whether I'm the only one.
