·It's a front opening watch as far as I understand, you either pry the bezel out, or use a more precise tool that pries it from both sides etc.

·I could be wrong, but I don't think it is that simple.
1) If you look closely, the case back is clearly two pieces, not a "Monococ" as with Omegas such as the Dynamic.
2) the stem removal (and insertion) requires pushing a "button" which of course has to be accessed from behind.
3) Why would you need a special tool if it was just a front loader?

··Melbourne AustraliaThe Longines tool 1260 is used to remove the crystal after the bezel is removed.
This allows removal of the movement from the front of the case.
The crown/stem is of the split/two piece type. The crown is pulled out until it pops off the stem.
The setting stem is then pushed back into position.
The crystal is removed and removed from the case (it may need to be rotated slightly but I'm not sure).
The movement has a "button" to allow removal of the split stem after the movement is removed.

·Many thanks. The requirement of the two-piece stem is what confused me, as a Google search of the movement in my watch shows it takes a one piece. Perhaps I am dealing with a Franken.
Also, it still strikes me as odd that this watch does have a case back (unlike the Omega "mono" cases used for their front loaders). Why include it in the design if it is not to be removed??
