Looks like a complete novice of only 7 months collecting and tinkering knows a little more then a professional? Lol
Not really a professional, just a self taught "hobby watchmaker".
Although self taught, much of my horological education has been from members here who have given me the benefit of their experience.
Even some who have only been at it for seven months.

No worries

I’m just happy I got very fast responses from multiple members suggesting various solution. Always on your own risk when you ask around on forums, I followed a few hints combined with some common sense (having the watch in front of me in real life is an advantage of course) and finally solved the problem.

Again for completion, it was “only” 14k gold.

A quick bonus question. The crown is in yellow material (perhaps gold) but with no mark. Is this indication of a replacement crown or did some dress watches come without an Omega mark (Ref BD 131.0016)?

I know my Omega Suverän (CK 2400, 30T2 PC) from 1947 has a steel crown without an Omega mark and this is how it is supposed to be.

In the 1960s, I believe the crown would have an Omega symbol.
