all of the early numbers (pre 31 mio.) that I have seen so far have the pointed „A

Slightly different fonts compared to the pointed „A“ too, gives me bit of a headache 🤔

And a very nice A11 with the early number 29'6009xx and a DON bezel. It is scary close to the earlier posted one from dr Crott so it could be the same watch ? With the Wako Japan one it is the 2nd one with DON bezel.

What am I missing here, how do we know the caseback is original to the watch its not recorded in the extract, the watch is definitely been touched with the replacement pushers. Someone could have just added the caseback on to it. Only a couple of weeks ago a A11 caseback was available on its own on Chrono24 from Canada for £1700.

Just a a reminder that casebacks can be added and record into the forum an A11 caseback that was sold without the watch and may serve to explain an future anomaly (unless it is repainted which can always happen)

That is what we are trying to find out here, from collecting movement numbers and production or sales dates you can find a time line and try to detect or deduct if a watch is a "match". That specific watch was already a bit suspect due to its earlier, almost brandnew caseback. So as with every vintage watch without papers or proof you have to do some digging. Like with Mitsukoshi mods etc, although i think there are far less lose casebacks around then service dials.
But a change in pushers and crown is very common and standard these days if you choose an Omega service so that is not a big point.

Partly why I like seeing an A11 with its 1116 bracelet. A bracelet can still be added of course but the 1116 is a bit spendy and a builder/flipper might not want to spring for it. Still, these A11s are my one reason for wanting extracts to return, if only to add a bit more evidence from the sold date and country.

that's so, isn't it
No archive attached, but...
This one has a 1039/516 bracelet, not 1116/575, with a manufacture date of 1/69.
