Just a (photoshop) guess:
This could be the upcoming standard Moonwatch with 3861 caliber. 😉

Add a ceramic bezel and I think you’re there.

Yes, the updated Speedy is coming before the end of this year.
Has this been confirmed or is this just a guess?

Don't think it has been confirmed by Omega but I would be very surprised if it doesn't happen end of year or early next year.

That's what I was told by my OB. I find them to be reliable. They have not speculated anything with me in the past...

Ask then for the new reference number...and let me know what it is. I'll look it up and see what I can confirm.

I've been wondering this too. I love the Coaxial movements but I worry about how much more this will cost. I"m thinking at least a $1k increase in the US......?

I usually work that the LE is about £1,500-£2,000 more expensive that the standard (non LE) version. I would estimate the new 3861 speedmaster to be about £6,000. That would put it in the same price point as Breitling and the like.

I'd say at least $1500 USD price increase for the upcoming standard 3861 Ceramic Bezel Saphire 42mm Moonwatch.

I'm very curious if they will take this opportunity to work some marketing "bang" by introducing new colors to the standard 42mm Moonwatch range...

Doubt they do colors. I hope they keep the Hesalite crystsal option.

I hope they keep the hesalite too. Would love a ceramic bezel and an updated clasp and bracelet.

Has anyone tried putting their name on a waitlist for the updated version? I've been waiting for what feels like forever, and it would be sad to wait another six months to buy one after it is announced.

With the snoopy getting released on the 25th October, I can’t see omega releasing Anything major for another quarter. I think it will be January ish announcement.

I figured it would be at least a month. Bummer if it's not until next quarter.

(Would also love an applied logo!)

I wonder if we should expect a significant price bump, and a slowly....slowly release schedule along with minimal discounting. This may be the new Omega.

Applied Logo, open case back, ceramic bezel. One can wish
... and different colors other than black; like a blue and brown "panda" on a light grey or white dial (and matched bezels of course).

I don’t see this happening. A Moonwatch will be black and look very similar to the existing. Figure new movement and possibly a ceremic bazel. Likely will be able to get either hesalite or sapphire option. Colors, etc. will be left to racing models, limited editions, etc.

The Speedmaster professional Moonwatch is not changing much.

Not changing, but adding more options. That's what I meant.
I'm thinking (dreaming) about a Speedy like the new 50th Snoopy but without Snoopy on the sub-dial, without the silver (metal), in an off-white dial, and without that magic caseback. A Brilliant Blue Panda Speedy. I'd take two!

I don't think we're talking about changing the color... it's about adding more color options 😉

If I remember correctly, they have no other "standard" 42mm Speedmaster that isn't black. All variants are either 39 or 44... I think.

Maybe but they won't call it a moonwatch and think more likely you continue to see limited editions, this new Snoopy, etc. with different colors and unfortunately I think they will be at a price premium.

Has anyone asked there OB about the release date for a new moon watch? Or is just pure speculation at this point?
