I thought it was odd that you jumped into a speculative thread about the Speedmaster Pro to talk about the superiority of the Zenith el Primero movement. Anyway--carry on, as you were. Your display of loyalty is great.

Brand loyalty could be a new/different thread--i.e. what keeps fans loyal over time--be it pro sports teams like Inter Milan, or watch companies that have changed so much from their glory days in the 50s and 60s.

Omega and Zenith are both branches of competing conglomerates. Both have historical watches. Etc. Inter is a brand, etc.

I intended that ZENITH produces its own movements or calibers in their own factory, whereas OMEGA let produce their calibers by ETA which belongs to Swatchgroup. And beside this, EL PRIMERO is still the best mass produce Chronograph movement in the World.even Rolex decided to use the ZENITH EL PRIMERO CHRONOGRAPH. Did I make myself clear?

And you based this on which criteria? And don't write that Rolex used the movement, because Rolex heavily modified the El Primero for the Daytona, including changing the beat rate. Rolex also utilized Valjoux chronograph movements prior to the El Primero and those Valjouxs weren't modified like the El Primeros were.

You're very short minded, did you forget that Juventus di merda played a whole season in the SECOND Relegation? (SERIE B). FC INTER WILL NEVER EVER FALL RELEGATED IN SERIE B, NOT THIS SEASON, NOT EVER NEVER NEVER NEVER

37 !!!

FINO ALLA FINE, FORZA JUVENTUS!

Only by the ESA. Maybe one day they’ll have a historic space legacy similar to the one that NASA has laid down, but until then, Omega will be cashing in accordingly.
Nope, the X-33 was qualified and flown by NASA since 1998. The Skywalker was a collaboration with ESA in 2014 and was qualified by ESA.

Has anyone heard anything about this? Do we think it will definitely be launched this year?

I am surprised there hasn't been much said about it - there aren't that many months left in 2020!

The last time i visited my AD a few weeks ago to pick up my FOIS, the AD told me that Omega wanted to announce the new Speedmaster in Autumn.
Dont know how reliable that information is.

That would make sense timing wise.

Hello, it's funny how your AD knows that this Autumn Omega will release new watches because "my"AD in Switzerland (Zurich) they don't know anything yet,but I presume that they don't want to say it. Neither pricewise nor just predictions on what other models beside Speedmaster will come out, let's wait
My AD didnt say they "will release" in autumn, but rather "wanted to announce". She didnt sound 100% confident. Lets wait and see what happens 😀 i blew my budget on the FOIS anyways..

I think we need to get these ADs into the ring. Five rounds with a PloProf, no gloves or microfibre cloths. Then we'll get some answers.

I winder if the timing, whatever it is, is likely to shift as the pandemic continues to bite. Might make sense to have stock and a buyer's market before releasing the updated Speedy that will be a major driver over the next decade or more. But I imagine they'll sell as many as they make, initially at least,

The chatter about the price hike seems to have 1 September as the date for the increase. I wonder if the new 3861 Speedy will be released shortly after that.

I would be surprised if Omega did release the new Speedmaster at the beginning of September with a price rise, given it is strongly rumoured that Rolex will be releasing there new models in September.

Any hopes for this year yet? If in October they do something snoopy related, wouldn’t it be to much speedy news for a quarter?

I don't get why they make such a big deal out of their announcement when you can't buy one anyway? I'd actually go for the sub but as we all know, that's not happening. So weird to me...

It doesn’t look like we will see the new model speedmaster in 2020. The back end of the year will be taken up with the new snoopy speedy.

I know this will be seen as the poor relative with today's Snoopy announcement - but has anyone heard anything about this?

Is there going to be an updated standard moonwatch with the 3861 movement?😗😕

Yes, the updated Speedy is coming before the end of this year.
