Had some come in not pictured (Seiko 7005-8140 - the Iranian Seiko and Gallet Multichron 12) but happy with the new additions. Need to release a few watches back into the wild and I’m probably still not done for the year 😀

From 2018:
My ongoing hunt for half-a-dozen or so "grail" pieces will continue ... they are all vintage chronographs or divers - some military-issued. I would like to continue to stray into Japanese territory, as I learn more about vintage Seiko. I will also be happily opportunistic, and buy interesting watches that appeal to me, as well as watches in excellent condition. I'm always learning, and I'm sure there are many fantastic watches out there that I haven't even heard of yet.

Still hunting for most of my major grails, but I successfully lightened the collection a bit in 2019 and added some good pieces while being fairly disciplined overall.

No big changes this year, just a little refining. Earlier this year, sold my SMPc and Planet Ocean 8500.

And bought a 2531.80 and a 2201.50 to replace them.

Also bought my first Rolex in 2019––a 114270 Explorer.

Looks like Omega is overshadowing Rolex....
I’ve still got my 16710 which will be the last watch I ever sell. Generally I like omega and other brands as I can actually buy a decent watch at a reasonable price. Nothing wrong with Rolex but the 6 digit models don’t really float my boat and the older ones I like have sky rocketed in value.

My welcome to vintage year:
Omega flightmaster and speedmaster
Seikos from the 70’s: 6306, 6319, 6318, and a modern Sumo

and a cat. That’s not vintage. At all.

Well since you asked

Tenant went rouge on Meth/ice and left $10k damage that insurance didn’t cover and didn’t pay rent for 3 months, took another 4-5 months to fix without tenants

Needed 8 new doors

Holes punched in heaps of walls

One room had over 200 holes in the wall

Painted without permission around furniture

broke in after they were kicked out stole garden shed and white goods

Carpet well

so only one watch this year.

@cristos71 you made my year buddy “ Thanks heaps Mate ”

Ahhh that feels better.....😉

I only joined at the end of August, with a bit of interest in vintage speedies.

Purchases since then..
Moonwatch only book
Flightmatser only book
The Watch book
A Moon Watch Story book

Speedmaster MkII (just gone for a service)

Wife bought me the Flightmaster as a birthday gift

Dabbled with a Geneve Dynamic for a few weeks, too small but nice to see one in the flesh..

Missed out on a '68 transitional speedmaster , regretted it ever since as prices are now 50%+ over what i should have bought that example at

Pretty much forgetting the pre-moons now, will probably go for a ST1 or ST2 now, although a IWC Portofino 8 days is taking my eye today
