It is! I was going nuts looking for the 1 of 99 opaco but scored both this 1 of 10 opaco and also the 1 of 99 opaco, which is still on it's way to me from Denmark. Won't be keeping both, but I had already paid for the 1 of 99 when I found and purchased the 1 of 10 so I couldn't back out of sale.

Both were purchased from private collectors who were very kind enough to sell them to me 馃榿

Pictures don't do this watch justice. Bang for buck it really is something special.

That's awesome that you have both, you might be the only person who does.

Is this the other one you have on the way?

Maybe.....I never thought of it that way, but it makes me wonder 馃槙 if that's something to be proud of? Or is it just a symbol of how watch collecting is 馃が sickness, with no cure.

Either way, nothing makes me happier than a new addition to the collection. 馃榾

This is the one on the way. Slight differences between the two are, the case is sandblasted and not polished, the minute and hour hand lume is orange, as well as the bezel triangle.

I *love* the latest model perpetual. And the Explorer 1, of course.
2 new purchases, one for me and one for my wife that I'll wear now and then.

Me too.

The Explorer is not an explorer 1 though, it's an oyster perpetual 36 mm with BLUE explorer dial. Interestingly same oyster case and same movement qualities and of course same explorer dial but on a beautiful sunburst blue dial and the original size. Makes you remember that the Explorer was an oyster perpetual before it was an explorer.

So what percentage of the airports you routinely fly into have a DD in the terminal? Do you bid avoid all the others that do not?
I would estimate that approximately 10 - 20% of the airports that I fly into have a DD in the terminal. I bid for specific days off for family activities/commitments (not specific trips) so I end up getting 'junk trips' that nobody else wants. On the rare occasion when I get to fly into Boston Logan...Boston being the home/HQ of DD...I go freaking CRAZY...DD's are all over that airport (as well as the city itself)...good times! 馃憤 馃憤 馃憤

Again, love the shades, really completes the double-breasted van Admiral look.

So it turns out I'm not going home tonight after all, going Bangkok-Jakarta-Singapore-Beijing-Hong Kong-Manila-home over three weeks instead.馃檨
