Awwwwhhh, you're killing me with your beautiful 'Ed White'...

Not sure if you knew this, but I had to return mine because the movement turned out to be in pretty bad shape. Needless to say, I've been depressed ever since... but seeing yours sparks new hope!!!
Thats a thread update i missed ??

My number one 'bang for the buck' watch; lots of color in the dial, and gorgeous Chinese Sea-Gull ST-19 movement with a column-wheel (yes, they probably copied the 321!):

I wonder if this is the first Chinese watch post on our Forum? (please note that in pic#2, I did include my Omega SMP in the background!)

Cracking watch! I used to have one of those, I wonder why I sold it. The Seagull St-19 is basically a Venus 175. Apparently made with the original tools, sold to Seagull some time ago. So it has it similarities to the 321, made by Lemania.

It is definitely not my most expensive watch, but it is one of my most dearest...
My mate Rudi took this pic of my Seagull 1963 Chinese AirForce Re-Issue that my wife bought for me.. And from what I have read "ketilo" you are correct in your statements about the Venus tools being bought by Seagull.. For a column wheel chronograpgh, ( I paid around $AUD212) amazing bang for the buck!! Sure some had a few issues, but like any developing business, industry, country, improvements are the mainstay.

Here is a pic that shows the era that the original watch came from. My wife's Mother was the Captain on this (all female) fishing vessel, with her sister ship in the back ground. South China Sea. (Now, that would be fun! 😗 In more ways than one!!))

..
And keeping with the nautical theme 😀 😀 Today I wore this. Not the best shot, but I was rushed, capturing a Pam Logo lume shot for a mate..

Have a great week everyone..
Mark
