Supposedly, this is a very rare watch (according to Gallet). The Swiss military issued it to officers from like 1977 to 1981. Their American NATO counterparts liked it so much they ordered a few a few hundred pieces for USAF pilots in '81. can't really see it in my awful pictures but there's a little fighter jet inside the "G" in Gallet. The date wheel is in English rather than French. Cool. The watch head weighs close to 3 or 4 long tons because of all the magnetic shielding. practically not kidding.

Cool, it was probably intended to be used as a weapon in case they went down behind the lines 馃榿

Is the Day/Date a stepped set of dials or is it just the angle?

I have said it before, but I will repeat it again: This forum must have the nicest members out here on the web!
One of these are a gentleman located in the London area who generously donated me a EternaMatic KonTiki Guy Freres bracelet馃榾!
Made a comment that I was looking for one, and behold; a PM and later on a package to Norway馃槑.
When it also matches out 100% with the production date of my watch (GF dated their bracelets on the clasp) and it even is my birth year I can not tell how pleased I am!
In the true spirit of OF I would encourage others to think in the same lines. I will most certainly do!
