Good day all. My Omega 1958 Ranchero. The second photo really does remind you that radium is incredibly radioactive - Ra-226 has a long half-life of more than 1,600 years.
I can't recommend scheduling oral surgery on the morning of your birthday, but... it does give you an additional excuse to buy a new watch on that day. This Hamilton Khaki Explorer met the two essential requirements: its price was below the impulse purchase limit that I made up on the spot, and it was in stock at my local dealer. (Okay, the watch met the only essential requirement.) If a black or white dial had been available, I probably would have picked one of those, but after wearing the blue dial for a few days, I quite like it. Maybe that will fade as the pain diminishes, but so far it's looking like one of the few hasty purchases that turn out well.
