A lot of this lately, especially „when the levee breaks“ quickly became one favorites of this album. I should take some cash out of the watch fund and finally get me a good set of speakers and a record player. I got most of the old vinyls from my parents youth, Hendrix, Cream, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Bowie and many more...

This has been a bit of an earwig lately, another one for when the windows are down.

Yes you should ... Pro-Ject turntables, they have some superb entry level models, are the way to go. You need a decent pre-amp/amp with a phono input ... speakers ... lots of good choices. I am a Bowers and Wilkins fan and they have a wide range with top performance at all price points.

Great , I will do some comparing tonight if I get time ( Big world cup game on tonight for England ). My copy has the Alestair Crowley quotes " Do what thou wilt" & " So mote it be " also .

Broadly speaking, the early UK pressings will be on "plum" coloured labels like yours, which is why I could tell yours was an early UK one from your first picture. The US ones will be on green and red atlantic labels.

Obviously then there will be tons of subtle differences like mis-titled songs, differences in credits etc which differentiate a first pressing from simply an early one, but I confess I need Discogs to sort that out..

@Edward53 ... thanks! Just happened to be in a record shop in Lincoln Square after listening to your post. $5 and in excellent shape after a bath. This is such an iconic sound.

Great, delighted to have been of help!!
