Wow, a UK plum label for Led Zep III! Is that a first pressing?

@Edward53 ... thanks! Just happened to be in a record shop in Lincoln Square after listening to your post. $5 and in excellent shape after a bath. This is such an iconic sound.

I think it is , but as everything it's not that easy to work out . Googled this for about an hour & I think it's a first pressing 3rd variant . It hasn't got the credit to Peter Grant as executive producer & Cat # is 2401-002 . But for £15.00 I don't care and it's in absolute mint condition ,& looks like it's never been played 👍. The shop also has a first pressing of David Bowies Aladdin Sane with fan club insert .

Just in case you are not familiar with the site but Discogs.com is the place to visit to establish exactly what pressing you have.

Two of the greatest albums ever recorded IMO. As a guy who followed Bruce in small clubs and college venues this was the peak for me. First three LP’s are still my happy place. Yes good stuff after but uneven after he became a stadium rocker. Led Zep III and Who’s Next were foundational for me and still are. Great snags.

Oh man that takes me back...love it!

Back in the late 60s we used to get Led Zep and Cream LPs as black market pirate copies off the Singapore ships that came into Fremantle Port. These "heavy" blues rock bands coming out of the UK weren't openly sold in Perth City as they were considered anti social and too "heavy" for local city pop radio which hammered "chirpy chirpy cheep cheep" and Michael Jackson's "Rocking Robin", and other bubble gum songs all day and all night etc...these Black Market LP's were actually pink vinyl, I now wish I had kept them. More than anything I wish I had kept my '67 Fender Strat. Hindsight, eh?

Something a bit different at the moment. The Podcast: Up and Vanished. Horrendous story of the murder of 30 year old teacher Tara Faye Grinstead who lived in Ocilla, Georgia. I seem to be listening a lot to Podcasts these days, mostly USA politics - Morning Joe (MSNBC) is another favourite and I quite like the detail that Rachel Maddow delves into but Nicole Wallace on MSNBC is my favourite. Listening to USA politics atm is like following a reality show. 😁

Hours and hours of fun ahead reading those etchings on the run out grooves!
I'm a big fan of discogs. I use it to list/value my collection first and foremost but also a good place to buy and sell.
I sold two 7 inch singles that I had spare copies of at the weekend for £95.
I can also recommend the App. It enables you to view your collection whilst record shopping on your phone, which really helps me as every now and again I would come home with a record or CD that I already had in my collection..
