·“MOUNTAIN VIEW - A woman accidentally shot her husband Thursday night after believing there was a home invader, leaving him with a forearm wound, authorities said.
“About 9:45 p.m. Thursday, officers arrived at the 700 block of San Carlos Avenue in Mountain View in response to a potential home invasion and shooting. They found a couple on the front lawn, with the husband suffering from a gunshot wound.
“The wife believed that a third person was invading the home and accidentally shot her husband, Mountain View police spokeswoman Katie Nelson said. The exact location and circumstances of the shooting were not clear. The man was taken to a hospital for an injury that is not considered life-threatening.
“A bullet hole was visible in the window pane of the garage Friday morning. A trail of what appeared to be blood led across the driveway to the home’s front gate.”
