My 1925 14k Gold Gruen watch with the most extraordinary history.

That might be Humphrey Bogart (aka Bogie)? If so, do you know who Vera was! You have offered us a “cliffhanger”.

Vera, was his long time lover, Verita Thompson

Like so many of those folks, Bogie got around, didn’t he? The outrageous lifestyles pursued by his ilk, must have been of value to their careers.

Yes, I have.... it has consumed my life. Owning this watch is a direct connection with history as many vintage watches do as that's why we own them, but owning Humphrey Bogart's very personal watch is mind blowing to me everyday. Google is a great place to start... and the rabbit hole just get's bigger

This one is a touch younger than my black face Omega by a year, circa 1917 Signal Corps, USA with specified pigskin strap

oldest working and in use... 1879 Illinois Miller. Its got a huge balance and a "slow train", four beats rather than the usual five per second, so it sounds like an idling diesel.

Cool! 1 of a run of only 100 😎

For 1866 only. Gearing up post Civil War, I would guess.

Damn, you shouldn't be teasing us like that 😉 This watch would deserve a separate thread, with all the details you've managed to find out
