UG and beyond in your collection

Hello all,

Collecting is very personal, each of us having different interests, tastes, means, etc., as well as being at different stages of our respective collecting journey.

I was wondering, out of pure curiosity, what 'role' does UG play in your collection, i.e., where does it sit in relative terms: is it your number one brand in terms of number of watches / money spent?

What's your favorite UG in your collection, and what is your grail UG?

And then, beyond UG, is there another brand (or watch theme) in which you have a particularly strong interest/focus in your collection?

Looking forward to hearing your story 😀

I focused on the classical period 30s 40s 50s. I still don’t know why i didn’t go for a Clapton, having seen a few in the metal. They had gotten too expensive. Nina just did not interest me. I don't have a favorite really. Yes, I’d say they are the core but other brands are well represented as well.

For vintage I have pocket watches, 1970s Omegas, 1960-70s Seikos, a 1965 King Seiko, a 1950s Zenith and a 1960s Movado en route. And as of last month I have a Polerouter.

I plan on buying a vintage Longines Flagship or similar once I free up some money.

Going on rarity, my cost and design I place the Polerouter at the top.

For new watches I love my Tudor BB54 the most. Heck I even love my new 34mm quartz Marathon watch for everyday no worries wearing.

I'll be making a pair of leather straps for the Polerouter once I get the spring bar out that doesn't have any ridges on it.
