What watches are on your Wish List?

I own several nice watches but I'm always pondering what my next watch should be.

What watches are on your Wish List? That is, if you came across one in good condition at a fair price, you'd be tempted to buy it.

In my case, I already have some of my favorite watches:
- Vintage Speedmaster, a 145.022-68-ST with a DON bezel and applied Omega logo.
- Classic Rolex, a late-1980's Rolex GMT Master with black bezel in stainless steel.
- A limited edition Speedmaster, a 2005 Gemini IV blue dial 40th anniversary watch.
- My first Rolex, a 1984 Date oyster in gold and stainless silver with a blue dial.

At the moment, my "wish list" includes:
- a Speedmaster TinTin special edition watch (I love the look of that watch).
- an Omega Seamaster 300m with a blue dial (a modern one).
- a Speedmaster Racing Japan watch (I think the dial on that watch is one-of-a-kind).

What about you? What is on your wish list?

Are we just wishing? If that’s the case then it’s Speedmaster silver snoopy and a late 80’s 1016 for me.

Those are very expensive aren't they?

I really haven't figured out why they demand such a high resale price.

I don't have a problem with it, just wondering what is driving the $30k plus prices for those white Snoopy Watches?

And, as a follow up question, do you think the 50th Anniversary Apollo watch will also follow as a highly valued watch?

My grail watch is a 1655 Explorer II. Maybe when I finish residency...

That’s hard to say. I’m no expert on Speedmasters. I just like the little snoopy that glows. The 50th Apollo does nothing for me. Spectre Bond Seamaster is limited to 8777 but still hold value. I can never figure out the market.

I was tracking both the Speedy Pro TinTin and Gemini IV anniversary watch and ended up buying a Gemini IV when it came up for sale.

I'm a believer you need to know what you want, and then be ready to buy it when it comes available.

Gemini is a beautiful one too and that’s a reasonable price. Silver snoopy is very cool too but the price is just too crazy.

Agree. The likely next watch for me is the Speedy Pro TinTin.
Not sure how many were made, but I think quite a few.

The other Omega watch I like is the Japan Racing Watch. Also, a dial with red accents.

My answer is always the same. No matter if it’s wish list, grail list, my-uncle-found-this-list, etc. There’s nothing that I want more than this:

Courtesy of MasterOfSpeed and our own, @sliceoftime_.

If you have one and are willing to part with it, I am open to trades for body parts that I have duplicates of. Just not my left arm/wrist. That’s the side I wear my watch on.

I keep have a list of watches I want.

A list of watches I don't want would be much shorter.

EDIT: I should proofread more often

I would keep the right arm too, otherwise difficult to strap it on yourself although I've seen people with no arms doing incredible things with their feet.::rimshot::

16550/16570 polar dial E2 and the new all blue Tudor BB58.
That would hold me over for a good while.
Anything other than that would be just for fun.

A nice solid gold vintage longiness dress watch on a brown strap.

I am more of a black strap guy.

Can we wish for ones that don’t yet exist.

A FOIS in yellow gold (moonshine will do) still keeping its black dial etc

An updated Apollo 8 DSOM with the new 3861 movement (I’d still keep my original) maybe all the yellow parts in red to tell the difference😀

New Snoopy if the do a great job equal or better then last (big ask but fingers crossed).

I've been debating whether or not I should share this, unsure of what the reaction would be, but here is my watch tracker spreadsheet. It scrapes prices from a number of sites on a few watches I'm interested in buying. I haven't updated the "manual update" cells (cols I-N) in a while since I've been unemployed and not in a position to spend any discretionary funds, so trying to resist temptation. Many of you will be able to reverse engineer the formulae to suit your own lists. If not, PM me and I'll do my best to help.
