I own several nice watches but I'm always pondering what my next watch should be.

What watches are on your Wish List? That is, if you came across one in good condition at a fair price, you'd be tempted to buy it.

In my case, I already have some of my favorite watches:
- Vintage Speedmaster, a 145.022-68-ST with a DON bezel and applied Omega logo.
- Classic Rolex, a late-1980's Rolex GMT Master with black bezel in stainless steel.
- A limited edition Speedmaster, a 2005 Gemini IV blue dial 40th anniversary watch.
- My first Rolex, a 1984 Date oyster in gold and stainless silver with a blue dial.

At the moment, my "wish list" includes:
- a Speedmaster TinTin special edition watch (I love the look of that watch).
- an Omega Seamaster 300m with a blue dial (a modern one).
- a Speedmaster Racing Japan watch (I think the dial on that watch is one-of-a-kind).

What about you? What is on your wish list?
.

Hey Ron,
I can't believe I am posting on this thread because I just bought a watch and I am already looking to get another! So impatient!! I tried to stop myself from looking at other watches, but then I saw that the Omega Speedmaster Moonswatch 321 Stainless Steel just came out. Im obsessed with this new watch even though I just bought a Seamaster last month. This article spoiled my honeymoon with my Seamaster
https://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-b...nwatch-321-stainless-steel-now-available.html
"In January of 2020, Omega finally gave the public what it wanted and announced that there would be a non-limited edition Speedmaster with the Cal. 321 movement in stainless steel. Now, roughly 6 months after that announcement, the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch 321 in stainless steel ref. 311.30.40.30.01.001 is finally available."

Not the easiest ponderable to answer, as I’m not the kind of person to hanker after a particular ‘wishlist’ watch. I like to think that my relatively modest collection either reflects something about me or suits a particular occasion, so in that respect I like to think that I’ve already attained my wishlist
However, if I was to go down the road of grail watch(es) attainment it would probably be to collect a full set ‘Dirty Dozen’. I can imagine that anybody who has spent many patient years acquiring a collection of this type must feel a sense of satisfaction

I’ll play. I currently own 3 nice watches (all Omega). I love 2 (the FOIS and Seamaster 300 MC) and like 1 (last gen SMPc blue). I’m considering selling the SMPc and buying a non-Omega to add some variety. Don’t want another diver (or at least not one with a rotating bezel) or chronograph, so I’ve compiled a short wish list (in no order):

1. Cartier Santos de Cartier blue — saw this when I bought my wife’s tanks. It’s beautiful, but I’m not sure its my style.
2. Panerai Luminor 8 Days — always liked the design of the Panerai, and that 8-day movement is sweet.
3. JLC Master Control Date — beautiful, but I’m not entirely sure about the silver dial (I’ve always preferred dark dials). If it came in black or blue, I wouldn’t hesitate).
4. Grand Seiko SBGM221 - that cream dial with blued GMT hand is beautiful and it would cover the dress watch category I don’t have, but is also sporty enough I’d be happy to wear it anytime. This is also by far the cheapest of the options and the one I’m leaning toward at the moment.

Sorry for no pictures, but I’m too lazy. 😀

The size of your current collection as described is perfect

Maybe someday a Grand Seiko Spring Drive.

I was just looking through the Omega site and noticing how much I dislike a lot of the current watches. I do like the Seamaster 300 line, though. I'll have the Sedna gold case and bracelet, please.

Not sure why but this is starting to appeal to me and I'm tempted to put my name on the list. A major home renovation begins next week but I should be good for another new watch by the time I get the call.

You’re lucky if you can find any AD that will add you to the list. I’ve tried to put my name down at multiple ADs, including one I have a small relationship with, and have been flatly denied. The only Rolex GMT they would put me down for is the Root Beer.

I'm primarily buying back watches I had but got rid of years ago:
Speedy MK40
Dynamic Chronograph

Also would love to add some 70's chronos like the MKIII with it's lovely silver and blue dials, and other pieces with similar layout dials.
I like the Alaska Project piece too.
I'm in love with the upcoming Longines Heritage tuxedo chrono and time-only pieces coming soon.
Finally, the Seiko SPB151 Turtle/Willard mashup has caught my eye.

Thanks for the insight!

and a green 2020 Tokyo
and a white dialed new SMP 300, of cause!

A "dog legged" crosshair pie pan
Speedmaster reduced
Stowa 1938 bronze
Rolex 1601

I'd like to get one of these for my 30th birthday in a couple of years.

I got to play with one of these today, and it’s definitely on my Wishlist. It’s bonkers and cool at the same time, with a touch of bling:

Do you think you would wear it regularly if you got it? I ask only because of the coincidence with me talking just last night about my old original Proplof that I ended up selling because it was so uncomfortable to wear. I eventually let a friend wear it for a few months so it wasn't just sitting there in a box, but he became uncomfortable because so many people were trying to buy it off his wrist, so I finally sold it.

Great if you do, but I am just curious how many folks buy something like this after admiring them for so long only to realize they may be impractical.
