We must have very busy minds, in here. I done, motorcycle and car restorations. Motorcycle road racing for years. I do some photography, I always wanted to really learn woodworking. Found a very program in San Diego, enrolled last year and well we know what happened.
I cook so much is not even a hobby. I have run on and off most of my life.
Watches I collected a bit on and off, but a few years back more into it, also repairs.
The hobby or way of life is mountain bike, racing mostly marathons style or stage races.
That takes a lot of everything, time and $$. I have 5 races planned for 2021.

Wow, been impressed with a lot of these responses, heaps of interesting stuff going on!

Me, I鈥檝e been into cycling for a long time now, mainly on the road but most recently at the velodrome. Before that I spent all my free time rowing (as in boats, not arguing) but was never heavy or tall enough to take it to the next level.

I鈥檓 quite creative - enjoy drone photography, illustrating and creative writing, currently have an idea in mind for a horror novel which I can鈥檛 seem to get started (any hints, @Donn Chambers??). I also belong to a drama group where I鈥檝e been in various shows and also directed a few, although am planning to pack that in soon.

I like a lot of music, AOR, jazz, blues etc and my hifi is my 2nd baby after my Speedmaster.

Oh, and barbecuing in the summer, plus I make the best homemade pizzas mankind has ever tasted 馃憤
I did my first ever track school in 2019. So I became track certified. I started to plana vintage bike build, to race in 2020 for enjoyment and complement my training. Well we all know what happened. So I started my old forgotten hobby (hifi) sound.

My most recent other obsession was denim and workwear. I've had the pleasure of photographing for a few heritage brands and have collected quite a bit of clothing in the last few years. For some reason I can never have enough jackets (I think right now I own 8 from Filson alone), though I've finally dialed it in to a few pairs of jeans. It's a problem in New York when my closet measures only 28 inches wide...

I love the way a piece of clothing can represent history or a period of time, just like a watch can.

I also am sort of obsessed with the American West and its history. Just completed a 2 year long project on the state of rural America and the West but have an itch to get back out on the range. I even helped with some of the work on the ranches. That's part of why I'm looking for a Ranchero.

For the cost of 8 Filsons you could buy a damn nice watch. I own a Double Mackinaw Cruiser and a Tin Coat, but the cruiser gets little use now that I live in northern Californina.

Were all things I used to do before having my two little boys (2yrs and 4mo).

Only recently turned back to watches after a several-year hiatus, as it and the furniture collecting are the things most easily pursued in the hours after toddler bedtime ...

LOL, I am 10 years ahead of you and I know what you mean. At 12 and 14 my girls take way less work than your little ones, but still don't have the free time I used to. I am in the taxi driver dad stage.

Right now the other hobbies are on the back burner. I鈥檓 focusing on getting ready for the Cape Epic next March. So the hours on that add up quickly.

Pretty much the only thing I'm quite mad about besides dabbling in watches is trail running - fresh air, fat burning and a lot cheaper too!

I enjoy playing video games. With the help of a friend I built a PC around this time last year. I also love good coffee, loosely follow NY sports, watching boxing, traveling and photographing beautiful sceneries.

I love running in general, trail is awesome. I鈥檓 waiting to loose some more weight, before I start to run again. I also have to stay focused on the mtb racing coming up.

Looks like you got a pair of Altra. I am a big fan of the Lone Peaks, a great trail shoe IMO.

I love the wood, so beautiful.
Thank you, I like boats like my watches, just a bit older and classic. She's a 1978 Vindo 32, vintage in boaty terms

About ten years ago, I needed a new project for my small CNC router and stumbled across the R2 Builders Club so decided to have a go...

I particularly like this next pic as the droids next to mine all ended up being used on screen in the new Disney films. The R2-Q2 and R4-M9 droids were used in The Force Awakens (and not just in the background - one appears full screen!). The all aluminium droid was used in Rogue One - Disney even issued it as an action figure and gave it a backstory. The builder eventually decided to sell it as it became just too valuable to drive around conventions being pawed by kids.

I did one convention and it was fun, but not really my thing, so my R2 lives under a dust sheet in the spare room. I'll probably sell it, but it's so difficult to put a price on it. Not to mention the utter garbage Star Wars has become. Everything since the original trilogy has been awful.

These days I've invested in a couple of 3D printers and I'm currently churning out an inMoov robot - an open source project. I'm at the point where things are going to get expensive, so it's on hold until I've saved up a bit. The wife takes a dim view of me paying for 'stupid electronics toys' 馃榾
