I fell head over heals for watches, at a charity auction, when I won s low bid on a old gold nugget Bulova. My dad was friends with the local watch maker, Dave, and we became fast friends as well. I was off to the races. Been around these parts for about six-years now.

You can't help to appreciate OF's amazing diversity and commonality while scrolling over these threads. You get glimpses of members' other passions on many open discussions here. One of the most revealing is the 'What have you bought lately, not watch related.' Members share their favorite books, what they are enjoying on TV. I am starting figure who the cat people and who the dog people are around here.

OK, long story short. Please share what other hobbies or collections float your boat.

I searched for a similar thread, but didn't have much luck. I'll start this off. Also gonna post a photo of the watch mentioned above.
Pictures or it didn't happen. . .

I started off in the darkroom when I was 14, by the time I was 20 I was introduced to Photoshop in a multimedia authoring class. It was the early '90s and we all entertained job offers in the class. I decided to finish college, but often wonder how that would have turned out if I chased it. I've worked with Photoshop since shortly after it was released. In the past couple of years, I've really got into the generative AI tools for photo-editing. In learning how to use AI to fix pictures, I really found I enjoyed photography and full generative ai, aided by traditional photoshop tools. Here is a two-minute video showing some of the stuff from my other hobby.

Vintage carved wooden duck hunting decoys.

Here are a few. First photo group is 100 years old. Condition and originality determines value
The collector knows the carver by style sometimes they are branded with carvers initials on bottom.
