I'm mechanically restoring an old BMW (essentially, buy parts, install parts), but I also buy and sell whisky (bottles and casks). I dabble in amateur pornography. Also, I try to improve my culinary skills; I really enjoy cooking.

see what I did there?

Thread revival! A good topic too!

I bounce between hobbies. Watches, automobiles, bang bang, knives, fountain pens, tennis, etc...

Most steady has been exercise and lifting for about 15 years. Was at 1300lbs on the big three pre-pandemic, lost much mass when gyms closed and I shifted to bodyweight stuff to stay healthy. Recently made it back to 1200 on the three, think I am happy here

Lately it has been watches and pens, shifting back to bang bang and associated sports. Was looking at 12 ga. earlier today, did not pull the trigger though. Maybe soon.

Looking at a 4WD truck. If that happens the other hobbies go on the backburner for a bit

...besides watches, cars, cigars, guns and building things from scratch, I enjoy light construction around the house.

Surprised I never posted in this thread either.

Photography, pipe organs, model ship building and sewing. Not sure if electronics and programming is a hobby or profession.

Golf, fly fishing/fly tying, some woodworking. Hoping to get into some basic watch servicing/repair.

Vintage most things. Vintage cars and affordable sport performance cars, Airguns, vintage watches and Pocket watches, thrifting, electronics but that's also a work thing. Classical art and of late buying up Sci-fi books.

Edit and I forgot to mention being obsessed with owning as many good quality digital cameras as I can.

I did leave cars out, 3d printing and lasers, I looked at a 1987 range rover last, needs love but I like vintage vehicles like that.

It's fair to say most of the guys and girls here have a broad spectrum of collecting habits and collections though there seems to be a common thread other than just watches.

My newest vintage ( age not ownership) car is a 1975 Rover V8 whilst the oldest is a 1928 car.

I had VW and bmw my last one a 1969 stolen broke my heart. Been away and bitter for years, but the 1987 rover might be next. About 25 years ago, I hesitated about a 356. Nothing like that deal, has ever come up again. 😭😭😭
