What Non-Watch Brands Are You Intensely Loyal To?

My dog, and her friend, my son's Cockapoo, invented a game between themselves. The rules, or at least the choreography, seem quite involved to me. It basically involves pretending to be vicious wolves, and obviously makes a lot of sense to them. The only rule I can figure out is that on no account does either get hurt. When they play this game in public I get looks of amazement, and disgust, which say - "Havn't you noticed your dogs are killing each other!" It is a source of much amusement to see their faces when I tell them "That's enough".

The point to the story is that this place is quite bizarre to the uninitiated, but as long as it does not spill outside, no harm is done.

I would not say I have been "triggered", but I know why I hate peer pressure, and fashion. Luckily I have natural good looks, and 8.5" wrists, so I can get bye without. 馃榾
As far as a forum dedicated to luxury goods (if you are here, then you are obviously interested in Omega watches which fall into the luxury category), this place is about as egalitarian as anyone would ever find. There is as much love shown here for a vintage $50 Elgin or G-Shock as for an AP or Rolex (actually more distain for Rolex but that鈥檚 just fun to poke the bear).

We embrace people from all walks of life, all socio-economic backgrounds and all tastes and proclivities. There is a unified love of quality goods here and we love to talk about them, regardless of price- it鈥檚 what makes this place so special.

It is certainly fascinating, and not much biting.馃榾
I do like well made stuff, and particularly if it looks good and goes round, and round.
The knowledge collectors have is very impressive, and I must admit I enjoy looking at all the beautiful watches on "WRUW Today?"
However..you are all bonkers!

What puzzles me with the watch collecting rules is that virgins (watches) are highly prised, but also the old slappers..

Subject for another thread- but buy what you like, we just like to make sure that people go in with their eyes open when buying tarted up watches.

Lucchese boots (they always fit perfectly)
Wrangler Jeans (they fit over my fat ass)
Tommy Bahama or Moon Dog Shirt Co.
Fruit of the Loom underwear. No sense spending a lot on something you're going to wear until it's just the elastic band.
Lowensenf Extra hot mustard.
Highland Park 18yo single malt Scotch
Picosos Spicy Peanuts

For work Purposes it would have to be DeWalt tools, it has become somewhat of a running joke in our family and with the Neighbour!
Vilbrequin shorts for the pool, oh and Legrand for sockets and switches in the house - the rest of the French stuff seems poor quality

-Ecco shoes, they last forever and helped alleviate the back, knee, and hip pain that I used to have.

-Coke a Cola, Can't stand Pepsi.

-Lenovo laptops. Most other notebook computers last 2-3 year in my experience. All of my Lenovo's have lasted 5-7 years and usually the Operating System became obsolete before they physically broke.

-Nissan for cars. All have lasted and stood up well with no need for serious repairs.

-Small Pet Select for Rabbit food, Timothy Hey, and litter. Freshest hey and the rabbits know the difference. Their pellets don't have a lot of added sugar or any junk treats in them. I firmly that their products added years to Elliot's (my Holland Lop) life. He lived 10 extremely health years with us and we don't know how old he was when we got him. Amazing customer service too. Can't say enough about this company

-Thiel Speakers, sadly out of business. Their time and phase coherent speakers are incredible designs. Jim Thiel (Rest in Peace) was a no frills and no nonsense guy.

-Audioquest cables. I hate spending big money on audio/video cables but every time I try to ignore the differences I fail to enjoy my music and movies.

well, spaceflight-related, as with the Omega Speedmaster, it has to be Lacoste polo shirts 馃槈
Here's a May 1971 photo of the Apollo 15 crew presenting their mission logo. Note James Irwin wore his Lacoste polo shirt.
By the early 1970s, most Apollo astronauts wore alligator logo Lacoste polo shirts, as "astronaut chief" Donald "Deke" Slayton had asked former golf-professional & Lacoste PR-person Danny Lawler to initiate the astronauts with some golf lessons.
In this way, NASA astronauts became fans of the French brand, named after French tennis player Ren茅 Lacoste (1904-1996).
Moreover, remember Apollo 14 commander Alan Shepard played golf on the lunar surface at Fra Mauro Moon-formation using a makeshift golfstick!

I think it鈥檚 more just brands that are dependable / reliable / known to be very good quality such that you can often buy once and not worry. It鈥檚 not really meant to be about brand envy or peer pressure.

Just like Le Cresuet pots and stuff are good because they last a long time and work well, that kind of thing.

I agree; I would rather pay for something once and take care of it than buy something more than once because it was of inferior manufacture.
I buy the best of everything that works for my budget, and I take really good care of my things.
I don't buy things for status or peer pressure, quite the opposite in my case.
I have the same buck knife I've had since It was gifted to me when I was 10 when I started hunting. its always sharp, and kept in good shape. I use it in my kitchen every day as all of my cheap kitchen knives have worn out/wont keep an edge.
