What is the best fitness tracker to wear along with a Swiss Watch?

I want a fitness or habit tracker that isn't an Apple Watch as I'm tired of that. I had a Fitbit in the past, saw Trev's WHOOP and a mate's ring tracker but nothing really looks that impressive.

Ideally I'd like it to tell the time if possible, as Trev keeps trying to check the time on his WHOOP when he doesn't have a real watch on. I've still got my Apple Watch Edition 3 in white ceramic but it looks really stupid when I'm wearing two watches, so I want something that looks like a bracelet or at least is different enough to not look strange. I don't mind if it's on the same wrist or a different one and am open to alternatives too.

What are you guys wearing and can you post some wrist shots with them?

Other than a small Fitbit/ring, I can’t really think of anything that wouldn’t look as if you were wearing two watches.

I solved that problem a few years ago…😉

I don't use them myself, I wear my garmin when I go running, otherwise just one watch, but many members of the running community say the fit bit inspire is a good option for allday habit tracking. I think inspire 3 is the most recent model.

When i feel the need (which is rarely) I use a Garmin Marq. Had a mont blanc for a while too which was ok.

What i really want is a smart clasp, was some vapour ware a few years ago. Never materialised unfortunately

Several years ago, there was a stainless bracelet with integrated fitness tracker. The bracelet comes in different sizes to fit the lug widths of most watches. I don't know if something similar is still available. I think this may be the best solution so you don't have to wear an extra piece. It cost about $250 at the time.

Oh yeah, that was a sony I think, remember looking in to it, was straight endlinks so killed if for me. Might be wrong about sony

I've never used it, but you can get a belt clip for the fitbit inspire 3.

As I'm always wearing an Omega and don't want anything on my other wrist this is really the only thing I'm willing to wear. It's called an Oura ring and is one of the most advanced health trackers on the market.

It's discreet, comes with a beautifully designed app, and is something that you can wear to bed to track your sleep habits without feeling uncomfortable. I've gained some amazing insights from it, from heart health through to sleep patterns, blood pressure, oxygen rates and stress levels... It's definitely not cheap but well worth the money... far better than a fitbit or apple watch.

I also plumped for the Oura ring a few years ago. Great bit of tech and very discrete without the need for sporting a second wrist item. The key advantage is the battery life which spans a few days so you get a full 24 hrs monitoring. I just charge when I’m in the shower each morning..

Main trouble is that it is good at reminding me how badly my sleep is effected by having a beer or three.

Put me down as another satisfied Oura ring owner. It is amazing what a ring with sensors and a really nice Oura phone app can tell you about your health. The activity tracking is great as well and maps out a walk, run or hike with time per mile, heart rate, etc.

What I'd like to see is a custom rubber dive watch strap with a Whoop held underneath your wrist for tracking purposes. The sensors still work in this orientation. I don't care about fitness tracking as much these days, so I just wear the Whoop at night.

I don't like the sound of a device that tracks my habits 😁
Seriously one thing I've noticed about these health/fitness trackers is the some people that use them become obsessive about them, and end up worrying themselves unnecessarily about data they aren't equipped to analyise. When I had my heart attack I asked to Docs about needing one and mentioning the fact that I'd known some people getting anxious about data they don't fully understand and the medicos agreed that whist they can be useful they can also cause unnecessary stress with patients trying to 2nd guess the data, and in my case they said as I'm relatively low risk it wasn't really going to be of any great benefit as no one would be likely to trawl through all the data that one of these things would provide. Higher risk patients might benefit from constant monitoring, but even then with regular checks from medical professionals even their progress can be tracked well enough, more serious patients than that would probably be staying in hospital connected to a shit load of machines that go ping making the health/fitness tracker redundant.

I guess the question is how small is it aside from the strap and everything as it probably is doable to stuff it into a little pouch as part of a leather strap. It's still looking a bit too chunky to make that work though. The ring option looks pretty compelling but I always fiddle and tweak any ring I wear.

Maybe just biting the bullet and using a Whoop on one wrist and a watch on the other is the least bad option, is what it does somewhat comparable to the Apple Watch in terms of steps, heart rate, sleep, and all that jazz?

I'll have to look up the Garmins and watch/read some reviews on them, I've seen their sailing watches and GPS stuff in the past but didn't know they even made fitness / habit trackers at all until you mentioned it.

How happy are you with yours?

I use a Garmin too- they just work
Typically with the Flieger face- but the Omega face is pretty cool too- I just doesn’t feel right using it
The app though is exceptional and the metrics you can track very iseful
It’s not nearly as good as an apple for being connected - but it will if you wish alert you to incoming calls and texts…
For fitness and step tracking etc- superb

Not sure if you're looking for something to track serious workouts or just regular daily activity. In my case it's the former, and I simply switch to my Apple Watch Ultra for workouts; the rest of the day I wear a traditional watch. But if it's the latter, a "stealth" smart watch could be a possibility. Here I'm thinking of watches such as the Withings ScanWatch Nova or the Tissot T-Touch Connect Sport. I don't have experience with these, but my daughter is happy with her Withings (older model).

I’ve been wearing my Garmin EPIX around my ankle the last few months (after the honeymoon phase) including during sleep.
I take it off if I am wearing shorts and out and about from the house though.
If I am doing activities then it replaces my watch on the left wrist.

Whoop is comparable to Apple Watch in most (sensor) capabilities, but not as integrated with Apple's ecosystem. Whoop's exercise and workout tracking features don't feel as accurate. It doesn't estimate VO2 Max. I've caught it showing my HR during a brisk walk as 130+, when I can easily count it as being more than 30bpm lower. Doesn't seem to cope with movement as well as Apple Watch. Sleep tracking seems good though, and that's all I plan to use it for. Wear a real watch during the day and Whoop for sleep.

Another new option is the Casio G-Shock "G-Squad" fitness tracking series which has a full sensor suite onboard. No idea about accuracy or how it is to use. I'd be skeptical about how well it works since it's their first attempt.

This is mine but would definitely be overkill if you are looking for something discrete.

But it is great for its mapping feature which I use extensively when hiking new routes
