Notice the difference between the pie pan slopes.

I have the same hidden crown Connie, I feel like it's wider too compared to my dog leg cased, or maybe it's just a visual effect.

After some unpleasant experiences with supposedly reputable dealers, to brighten up my week, I’m wearing my first vintage watch which I bought from an excellent dealer and to remind myself that there are good dealers around still.
That is one gorgeous Dial. Do you think it left the factory like that? It looks too good for nature to have done that.

The difference is real: dog legs is 34.2mm and hidden crown 35,5mm.

The one in my pic (a ref. 2700) is 35mm though.

It's time to wake this thread back up. 😀

Here is my late 1950's Constellation reference 14393 (The 14393 come with a date feature, the 14381 do not).

I really like it. The case and dial are in really good shape though the hands have lost a bit of lume. It came with a big and bulky replacement crown, a nasty bracelet, and a generic crystal with a cyclops that didn't line up with the date wheel. That stuff had to be sorted out.
Here is a before picture:

I literally had to cut off the bracelet as the springs were impossible to get through from the end links. Good riddance. Next started my hunt for an original, period correct crown. After a bit, I located one and off to my watchmaker it went. Had an OEM Omega crystal fitted as well and here is the watch now:

So I'm happy with the result. It is a unique watch to wear and has a very elegant look and a nice silver tone to it.

It also doesn't hurt that all in I've spent $600 on the watch (parts included). 😉

What has everyone landed in the past month?

Latest addition is the strap all the way from Oz. I think it looks good on this gold cap jumbo 14777 from 1962
