I searched for a Connie 2943/2954 with a black dial for a long time, but when I finally found it, it was a full set. I drew inspiration from Desmond's blog; apparently, they were custom-made. It just came back from service. I asked not to polish or wash the case; I want it in its original condition.

Is it a 18k buckle?

When we were talking about Fab. Suisse, I didn't have this kit yet. Then things moved quickly, I bought this one and 2648, cal. 352

167.005 nice Dome dial cal 551 1967

With an Issue!

Won in Japan EB auction liked the very clean dial, but big surprise when I opened box.
big scratch (more like a gash) on 7:00 lug quite close to the bezel. I missed it!

I could ( maybe should) have returned it. But dial is so clean and my presbyopia such I don’t see it on wrist with BOR bracelet.

Had it serviced with good result, and actually enjoy wearing it. Maybe I got too soft with the wabi sabi philosophy from years of Seiko collecting?
But I’m happy with it, not all my watches need to be pristine.

Indeed. Looks fantastic on the wrist, and that dial is a beauty. I'd happily wear the hell out of that thing😀

Bought my Constellation recently & I absolutely love it so much that, it has become my daily wearer and I've received some nice compliments about it.
It dates from 1967 which was my birth year, and is in condition even though it is missing the original crown. Though I am looking into getting this put back to the original crown type,

I would never would have believed that I would be lucky enough to get a, birth year Omega for what I paid for mine but I guess right time right place.
