(Now I am wondering how many grains of alum does it take to rust out a single screw in a watch plate. Or how much longer it will take before I can put my watch back together.

It took about a teaspoon....

....and about a week.

My biggest regret will likely be committing myself to my corporation for 15+ years and looking back, having only been focused on collecting a paycheck. The only big benefit I’ve had is a work life balance, having worked from home since 2012. It’s healthy for you to question these things. But stepping outside what is predictable and easy will never be regrettable.

I don't have any sense of what kind of films you want to make. Or why someone should pay you to make them. Do a marketing analysis of the movies you right now would want to make. You have mentioned all the things you want...but that is the wrong question if you are thinking of making a living at this. The movie "business" is about doing what other people want you to do. If by some stroke of luck you become a successful money maker for a backer (Steven Spielberg), providing product that others believe they can sell, and for that reason they invest money in it...is that your dream? And the industry thrives on alibis..."why did I buy this schmuck's script or hire that actor, etc." To understand the business you fantasize you want to be part of is a rude awakening. Read the book "Final Cut" by Steven Bach. final cut by steven bach - Search (bing.com) And then come back and lets discuss this.

Wise words from OF community!

I also found this speech motivational by Jim Carrey. The main point - choose love over fear.

Beautiful message.

My daughter came to visit this weekend with her girlfriend. Her mother and I suspected there might be something more than friendship between them. She finally told us what we already knew. Her girlfriend has a smile that lights up a room and together they are a wonderful match. Both of them are seniors about to graduate this year. It's been amazing to watch her grow into a mature, caring and secure adult over these last four years.

I sent her the video you shared. A very timely and great message. Thanks for sharing.

And not to overlook, you are a rockstar photographer. Plus, I never would have guessed a Volvo could peg a speedo like that. If you can do that with your day job. You can do anything.
