Please read these emails, I hope they are in order....

I have to explain that I do struggle a little with my keyboard/typing etc as my right arm is quite weak and holding my iphone to edit these emails of personal information that is private to me takes time... i don''t wish my health issues to be an issue or court any sympathy as I'm lucky to be able to recover from my stroke as well as I have done so far....you might have to start at the bottom and work your way up.

Many are speculating what "Value" this watch has.... well I know what I paid....but I've never exported it, I lent it out.... it's value is pricless to me and possibly it might have provided some financial security for my wife and I as we hopefully get older as I can't work anymore.

Watching my wife struggle with my/our situation breaks my heart every day.....I'm truly broken by all this.

Dear Oisin,
Please send my watch back and all the provenance. I beg you to be a man, and please get the help you need as it's breaking my heart.

Ade Wilkinson

I don’t know him personally as I already said

I tried to suggest some understanding might be useful as a starting point to some practical solutions

Mostly I read here seeking the experience of others as I am enjoying Omega more as I learn more

Unfortunately it seems not everybody has honourable intentions
Did you read the post on this thread from the young French lady with the YT channel ? Where she has an ongoing case against this individual for posting her name address and phone number with some terrible back story about her previous life.... He seems to be giving as good as he is getting.

Well, been deliberately skimming and dipping in at point with all this because frankly I have Covid, I feel like shit and the REAL news of late makes me want to bash politicians heads into brick walls. Bonfire of the vanities? All involved seem to have been leveraging the other other in hopes of some sort of gain. Then the value chain snapped when the video guy proves to be either psychotic, a crook or both. What a pathetic mess.

I don't know about you, but I like to hear from both sides of an argument before jumping to conclusions. Is that unreasonable? Everybody has biases and prejudices and recollections that can be faulty. That's why you hear out both sides and then try to make sense of it objectively.

Oisin is definitely not my cup of tea, maybe it's because he's a Northsider! But he's a narcissist for sure, and clearly there are insecurities bubbling up close to the surface. I think you have be a certain personality type to put yourself out there on YouTube IMHO.

But that doesn't mean a reasoned debate should be off the table.

I understand the sentiment but there really aren’t two sides to this story -- people want their watches back and he hasn't returned them. We’ve seen evidence and heard his confession that he has stalled and delayed for months on end. The original owners don't need to give any reason for wanting their watches, they’ve been more than patient, and there is no reason why he continues to have them in his possession months after repeated requests. There's no argument about the basic facts here. All he has to do is return what is owed, it really is that simple and one-sided.

Both-siderism in this case only assists the wrongdoer.

It is clear that he has the Bogart watch, he is not the owner, the owner has asked for it back for months, and it has not been returned. The simple resolution is to return the watch. Instead, Oisin posts long justification videos and aggressive messages, still refusing to return the item. His messages and videos posted on this thread all confirm that.

What exactly is the "debate" ?

And to what end ?

Not defending Oisin because he clearly made some bad decisions to say the least but seeing the speed at which cancel culture operates on social platforms, that's scary stuff to witness too.

Speed? He's been holding other people's money and watches for years...

It takes 50 minutes to travel to this special connection in order to ship this watch, according to him. That's the alleged hardship that's prevented him from sending the watch for over 8 months. What are we even arguing here? His completely unnecessary Livestream was twice that long...

You've been hoodwinked sir. This isn't at all about "laziness", that's a facade to cover his thievery. All his bellyaching about having to drive an hour each way, and use his "shipping guy" and how hard shipping is, yada yada.... is a carefully crafted narrative. Also, you like many others believe him to be of some affluence - this appearance of wealth makes it seem less likely he would be a scammer. Its abundantly clear he is broke and in debt and thus has no money at all (he admitted as much on his trainwreck livestream today), any fancy watches on his wrist are certainly fake, or not his to begin with.

I don’t know the guy but he is done enough videos that I doubt the watches are fake . What I see is a guy trying very hard to portray an image of himself that isn’t reality . He wants to be seen as important and a valued knowledgeable member of the watch community yet he doesn’t seem to have a real job or a at least a consistent source of income but I am speculating . I have no idea how one makes a living out of utube and maybe he invested his money in watches and now that the market is turning he is in trouble. Either way it is sad and he should return the watches he has kept that aren’t his. what I see is deeper than 4 seikos and an old Gruen I see someone that isn’t healthy and that needs to get his stuff together

I completely understand that there are two sides to every story. And at this point we’ve seen, read and watched both sides. Some want to give Oisin a chance and not judge but it’s all there in texts and videos.

I guess put yourself in the OP’s, modded Seiko, Nico and the French lady’s shoes. Still giving Oisin a chance?

I would like to hear his side of the story on exposing the young French lady with the YT channel.

Oh there’s plenty of livestreams with some other watch guys where they all sit in their little rooms and deblaterate about me and my life, browsing through my social medias and giving their opinions about any detail. The story from my side was posted on Instagram in this screenshot:

How is this in anyway the fault of the person that sent Oisin the watch? RUFKM?
I don't know about you but I would never send my watch to some YouTuber. I have more common sense

The customs thing is more of a threat from him. He’s saying he’ll return them, but the owners will need to pay customs duties that may have been avoided in the past with his help.

His explanation for taking so long is a combination of him over promising and needing a ridiculous amount of time to produce his “art” (ie videos).

The YouTuber is a thief, why pander to his arrogance?

No reason to really. People may be buying into the guy’s BS that the only reason he’s not returning these watches is because he’s been contacted (in his words threatened and bullied) since all this went public. The idea that this public attention has somehow damaged the chances of getting the watches back falls right into what he wants people to believe.

News flash...he was never going to willingly give these back.

I really do hope that everyone is made whole here, but even if they are not, at least people are now aware of what this scammer is doing, and no one else loses watches or money to him.

Here’s the Coles/Cliff notes version of his side of the story for the watches people sent him...

He admits he took the watches in to do the videos, that he hasn’t done the videos, that he’s held onto them for too long, but he’s not going to return them.

If you want to sit through the 2 hours of drivel yourself to check this, be my guest.

Wow. Looks like Oisin is more than just a scammer. He is a menace to society. This guy should be locked up if all of this is true.
its a worrying new direction indeed.
