The mystery of my jammed Moonwatch pusher

If it were me I'd take the 3861 and move on from the current watch. You could have it serviced and fixed and not have another problem with it but you may also have the frustration and concern about it in the back of your mind. At least, that's how my mind works, I tend to torment myself more than is necessary.
Yeah ultimately the peace of mind is worth more than the sentimentality, and for that reason I've gone with the 3861 sapphire option. The person who gifted it to me agrees completely so I will sleep easy.

And so the saga continues!!

Having received the new 3861 sapphire a couple of weeks ago, today I noticed this!

I must be cursed or something. Omega, I give up. You win.

That's not good, should have been caught by QC along the way. Every IWC I've ever owned has had problems so I just avoid that brand. Omega may be your bad brand.

OMG, I just can't believe your bad luck. After all you've been through I would have thought that the Omega dealer would have triple checked your watch to make sure it was perfect in every way. I really do feel for you. If it makes you feel any better my first Omega, a Seamaster Pro from the early 2000s, had a small metal filing appear under the crystal at the 6 o'clock position after a few months. Thankfully it was a quick fix to remove it and it ran perfectly for more than 10 years before it finally needed a service.

Contacted Omega directly. 6-8 week turnaround, say they. Due to current workload in the So’ton workshop.

I think I’ll just keep it as it is, wait 4.9 years and then if it still bugs me, send it in for a service.

I would, once again, be asking for a replacement - they have supplied a watch with a clear fault that shouldn't have passed QC.

I get that mistakes happen, but asking you to wait 6-8 weeks to swap a dial in a brand new watch isn't really on.

I know. I’m just so tired of arguing with them. I’ll sort it out one day, but right now, I really do have much, much bigger things to worry about.
