Hello all,

My name is Ben from Boston, MA, USA. I got interested in watches during grad school and now have a few watches (Sinn 556A and Seiko Blue Spark) I wear to the office most days. I've always admired Omegas and am happy that this forum exists with such a wealth of information and beautiful pictures of cool watches.

Here is my first Omega which is a recent acquisition. After the first few days it has been keeping excellent time. Now I am on the hunt for a Speedy...

Welcome from another newbie Bostonian

Hi there, Name here is Charlie and 'bide' on the east coast of bonny Scotland. Been sitting quietly in the background with only a few posts made, seeing the lay of the land before jumping in feet first...made a few nice contacts already (Alpha being one) and put the preverbal foot in it thinking I had spotted a fake watch Omega on the bay....(thanks dsio for putting things right). Started collecting a month back or so and its slowly taken over my life!.....Nearly 60 years young, purchased a nice 1956 Seamaster last week in celebration, and looking forward to learning the skills required to 'make it' in the world of Horology....well, for the few years left in life at this senior time of age !!!

I am a new Omega owner after owning a Rolex Green Anniversary Sub for many years. I ended up selling my beloved Rolex for a specific watch which unfortunately fell through after my sale had already taken place. After some trials and tribulations, am now the proud owner of a Spectre Seamaster 300, and a Dark Side of the Moon and I couldn't be happier. To say I have fallen in love with the brand is an understatement, and I already find myself already researching my next purchase, hopefully a vintage Speedmaster Professional, or a 37.5 mm White Planet Ocean for my wife. I have already been playing with Nato's on both pieces, and I am shocked by how a simple strap change can so drastically alter the look of the watch. I now find myself obsessively looking at various straps, buckles etc, something I never did with the Rolex, which remained on it's bracelet the entire time i owned it.

That DSOM looks so nice on leather. Impressive!

Hi I'm Derek, been reading the forum for a number of months now.
There is some great information on here and quite entertaining so thumbs up.
I had one of those Tag Heuer sports watches in the late 80s/early 90s. I even picked up a "more expensive" Quartz Tag but it languished in the drawer.
I have now come to appreciate mechanical watches and I bought an early 90s speedy. It is away for service right now since it was running a few minutes fast a day.

Hi, I'm Fred.
Sorry, I posted a couple of times before introduce myself here...
I'm a French 42 years old enthusiast, crazy about vintage watches : 1950s and 1960s diver watches, chronographs and military watches.
I've a unexplainable passion for the Titus Calypsomatic and have almost every reference of this watch (missing the 7985 if anyone ca help me !). I like to have watches I can wear, not precious NOS ones that stay in a safe. It's such a pleasure to choose the one of the day every morning !
I also like to share my enthusiasm and my pictures on the Web. You can follow me on Instagram @chronographes_ and see my blog www.chronographes.net.
