hi all - just a quick hello from me - been intending to get involved on the forum here (usually on TZ) , but life got in the way - kids, house renos... just doesn't seem to stop! Been collecting for the better part of 12 years, with a variety of watches, but Omega's (vintage mostly) have always been near and dear to me. Hope to be involved more going forward!

Here are some pics - past and present (old pics... need to get around to taking some new ones);

Hi gang, I'm Russ. I guess I registered here sometime in the past but never got around to posting. Which is strange because I've always been an Omega fan (and Seiko), so you'd think I'd hang out here more often.

Anyhoo...I'm an engineer, space nerd, and watch geek. I currently own three Omegas, a Speedmaster Pro bought new in 2000, a coaxial Deville GMT bought used in 2008, and a 1958 Pie Pan Constellation bought in 2008 and restored by Omega. I also have a bunch of other watches, including lots of Seikos.

Hi, my name is Scott Farris. I recently bought this watch, now I cant wait to buy another one. I initially was planning on holding out for a sub but decided on this watch when the opportunity arose. I will get a sub one of these days but I'm sure I will buy another Omega or two first. I think I got a pretty good deal, I paid $2500 with box and papers. What do ya'll think?

Hi everyone, Paul here, and I'm new to the board. I live in the country of watchmaking, i.e. Switzerland, where I settled many years ago for work. It doesn't mean I have an insane watch collection... quite the opposite actually! With a significant proportion of oddball stuff including a few dreaded quartz mechanisms.

I only have one Omega. This is a Seamaster DeVille. I got it from my dad 20 years ago, this was the first watch he bought himself on his own money back in the days. He tried to remember the date he bought it (in Geneva, actually!), and he believes it was in '64, but he isn't 100% sure. It was cleaned and received a new plexi and veal strap in 1996 when he gave it to me, but other than this it's all original, and the dial is in stunning shape as it has never seen a single drop of water. Feel free to chime in if you know better about the MY!

(and upon posting this pic, I realize it's time to change that plexi again)

And, 20 years after by the way, I've decided I want another vintage Omega... It'll be a Seamaster Mk II with racing dial. Nothing else 😀

Talk to you soon!
Best,
Paul

Hello...My Name Is Larry and I'm an addict. .... Chicago burbs; Avid sailor/cyclist/Audiophile/Traveler; Wife & Son. My avatar is Banzai my Shiba Inu. I have a global job with a big company. I've always liked watches but until 2013 it was Seiko and Victorinox quartz watches because I am rough on watches. My love for their pens prompted an impulse purchase of a Montblanc Timewalker GMT and shortly thereafter a Victorinox Divemaster 500 Mecha. By then I was reading watch blogs and the Timewalker was in the shop more than on my wrist. I left Frankfurt Germany with a new Rolex GMT Master ii, more research led me to JLC, a Grand Reverso and Master Calendar . I caught the vintage bug and a Spaceview, 2998-6 speedy and three UG models followed. I am proud to support Roland G Murphy with an RGM 801 COE due this month. After this I need to chill but I love old chrono's, universal Geneve/ Omega and would like another speedy. I admire A Lange & Sohne and VC. Not into Patek or AP at all. Naturally my wife is not a fan of this hobby so I'm going to be on a short leash soon... 12 step program out there? 😉 210144-d225ab4617ee43601fef0454bbc9a5ab.jpg

Hi everyone, made the faux pas of putting my first OF post on the WRUW thread instead of here; sorry about that. 😀
Lifetime omega/vintage watch fan. Got the bug from my late grandpa who got his first omega from his dad at age 6, eons ago in the old country when that was tantamount to owning a motor vehicle in the west, and passed at 86, with an omega on his wrist, of course.
Love this forum and everyone /everything it has to offer. I will in time post some more of my watch collection. Presently wearing my beloved seamaster pilot, dark blue dial, flightmaster case, as seen in WRUW thread. 😀

Hi everyone, my name is Pete. I'm 33 and a sales manager at the local Harley Davidson dealership here in Honolulu. I've been into motorcycles and watches for about 10 years now and bought my first Omega when my daughter was born 8 years ago. It took another 5 years before I got my second watch, a Longines. Recently, due to some life changes, I have picked up about 5 watches in as many weeks so I decided to join the forum to learn more about Omega and more specifically vintage watches. I look forward to learning a fraction of what you all know.

Hi all,

Just made an account here after lurking around for about a year or so. Found a lot of great info here in that time. I've just purchased my third vintage Omega and figured it was time to join the discussion. I post on a few other sites too, but since most of my watches are Omega I thought I might belong here too. Look forward to hanging around.

Hello,
I just came across the forum the other day while doing some Omega research and decided to join.
I've been a member of the watch community since the mid 90's when RP still owned TImeZone and they were posting weekly summaries of what's new and notable on the forum! Times sure have changed. Since then I've been active on WUS, TZ-UK and TRF, though under a different handle.
I'm a subspecialist physician and professor at the affiliated medical school. I've been an Omega fan forever, but I've made different choices when the time comes to make a make a new purchase. Well the time has come to correct that. My father has worn his Gold Seamaster daily since 1952, and it's still going strong. I'm not sure what's taken me so long to get on board, but that's about to change. My next purchase is a combined birthday present, reward for getting back in fighting shape, and good luck charm for a career change that I'm pursuing now. Of course I'm going with the one and only Speedmaster Pro with the classic and elegant Hesalite crystal.
My current collection is varied but my daily wear is generally a Rolex Sea Dweller. I'm looking forward to picking up the new Omega and I'm happy to be a member of the forum.

Hello everyone! I am Derek, living in New England, USA, and working in IT. I have never owned a nice watch! A ~$75 Casio Edifice EF-503D (not a bad Speedy homage, in my opinion) graces my wrist almost every day. However, I recently have been interested in getting a nice dive watch. I was originally looking at Christopher Ward's Trident line, because I really liked the wave-patterned dial. However, researching those on WUS led me back to the Seamasters, which I immediately fell in love with. I've been completely enamored by the "Bond" blue wave versions, and hope to find a 2221.80 (quartz) in decent shape very soon. I figured my wife would laugh when I told her I wanted to get a $1000-2000 watch, but shockingly, she did not oppose the idea! 😁

Hi everyone,
My name is Allan, and I'm from a place called East Kilbride, near Glasgow in Scotland.
I spend most of my time in the Shetland Islands, the most northerly group of islands in the UK, as I work at Sullom Voe Oil terminal, which is owned by BP.
Anyway, about my watches....I have a Seamaster chronograph ceramic bezel with the 3330 movement, which only gets worn when I'm not at work, a seiko kinetic diver, and my work watch...my trusty G-shock, which has been through thick and thin with me for about 12 years and never missed a beat!
Anyway, thanks for reading, and I look forward to being a member on here for a long time to come

Hey Gang,

Nate here from Providence, RI. Started collecting a few months ago. I've been told to, "Slow down. It's not a race." - when it comes to starting my portfolio. Omega seems to be my favorite brand so far.

I own an Omega Speedy Reduced, Aqua Terra, and a '63 Seamaster w/ date.

Here are a few photos:
