Yeah, thanks... I have been watching here, and have an alert set up. Reluctant to go anywhere else for now. I've had great luck with purchases through OF over the years. I have 518 end links it appears. Purchased from No Mercy. Also got a 19mm Fluco from Holben's which is useless without a proper mate.

So a different question… I purchased a very nice brick bracelet AND a nice 19mm band in anticipation of a nice C- which I purchased here (but US Customs had other ideas)… so my question is, where the heck can I find a nice C-case for my lonely bracelet & band??
Very hard in US these days to find a nice one and prices doubled since the tariffs and gold price hikes, pulled all the prices up

Just saw this today, seems like a decent watch priced according to old prices, to me only the crystal stands out immediately, didn't seem original to me, but could be, didn't check the watch in detail

https://www.ebay.com/itm/306833273203

Edit: Actually crystal definitely not original and movement pushed bottom a bit with aftermarket clamps to compensate, but other than that, nice case etc.

An original crystal is like $100+ these days not including labor, so makes more sense to buy a more expensive watch with the original crystal, don't sweat it

My 168.017's 😀

"Fumé" and two Texture dials and brick bracelets 😀

Love the Fume dial! I have been looking for a good specimen for quite some time now.

Finally got one. After one failed attempt (US Customs) and one near-failure (UPS incompetence), I have this one, purchased here. Initial impressions - very comfortable and the white dial is really bright and legible. Bonus is that the brick bracelet fits perfectly... didn't even have to adjust it.

It’s a beauty. Looks like orig radial brushing on bezel I see around 10 marker. These are elegant and dressy I love wearing mine. I bought 3 with fluted bezels and finally bought one with plain bezel like yours. It’s actually my favourite love the simplicity.

Wholeheartedly agree. Very different from the pie pan I have (and love for its complexity). This has a simple clean look and I really like the black stick hands. Similarly these don’t photograph well imho but look great in the flesh.

I have to take some time to find it, I’ll message them to you
Hello, could you give me the name/link of the seller please? For a long time I've been looking for these black stick hands with lumen spots for my omega.

Sorry it's been an extreme amount of time, finding parts isn't as easy as back then - if you show me a photo of what you're looking for, I can check my parts collection and let you know a price - but keep in mind it will be a hefty price for a hand set minimally depending on whether I have it and condition

I am guessing you are looking for baton hands with black paint and lume on the tips though

If that one is a picture of your watch, it's perfect already

I have a few questions for folks here, which is just out of curiosity. I recognize that Gerald Genta is credited with the design of the C-Case. Does anyone know where that involvement started & ended?
I saw (or read) an interview of his wife which discussed many of his projects, but I didn't get an understanding of what exactly he designed.
Did he design the face, the hands, the dial? or was it just the shape of the case. I ask this as I have often wondered if the dauphine hands were something he did not intend.

Hey guys,
I have been a silent reader for some time and you guys set me on fire. Now I am hunting for my first GC C-case Constellation and recently found this one online. 168017 with 564 cal, listed price is 1.950€. Any thoughts from your side? Thank you for your expertise!

Prices doubled after the gold craze and tariffs etc. Just the gold capping and solid pieces of a GC C-Case is likely close to 500 euro now. You could probably make a decent living buying filled or capped gold watches and scraping

Not just GC - Steel C-Case's are also crazy right now, baseline has increased so much, still not a bad time to buy special watches though, those don't react easily

welcome @demissio

The secret to a C case is to buy one with:
original orbital brushing
sharp mirror polished edge facets

This watch has some of the brushing but the facets are soft.
It looks very unattractive to my eyes - especially with those clunky wide baton hands and darkened lume.
Try looking for one with dauphine hands, ultra slim 'jetline' hands or the pencil hands.
- and regardless of the current market - I agree the price is rather ridiculous, C cases are meant to be entry level Constellations (popular amongst a minority of Constellation collectors so they shouldn't be this expensive)
