that red fume in gold is stunning, shame I'm not in a position to go for it, I think I've only ever seen one other come up in the time I've been watching c-cases.

I assumed that unique black/gold dial is a redial, the date window is bizarre and unseen, the minute marks extend the indices, let me know if anyone thinks it's original and why, I'll go for it

The red one is stunning but the "Constellation" is damaged at one spot, created a discontinuity in text

It's definitely a funny one but the pictures aren't good enough to say it is a redial.

Note
the dial is T SWISSMADE T but no lume
the hands appear to be mismatched (one pointy, one square end)
the date surround appears on the contemporaneous ladies C case but only on the later .056 men's C-case
if you consider some 'T-dials' with lume the minute haches do extend beyond the indices

So, experimental dial? - with C cases anything is possible
Possible later replacement dial?

Minute haches extending beyond indices

Random photo I stumbled on my roll, a generic case and a rare bracelet

Recently back from service. Replaced the rotor axle and bushing, mainspring, and case back gasket. Added two links to the bracelet (sourced form here) and now ready to wear.

Now to hunt for a gray dial...

I noticed something interesting yesterday while browsing C-cases. Wondering if anyone else has seen this. I perused Desmond’s site for relevant articles this time but didn’t go deep. It seems solid gold bezels are common but has anyone seen one marked around the medallion on the case-back like this before? Or is it saying it’s “Gold Filled” (GF). Perhaps someone added it after production? Gold cap watch dating to 1969.

ooh some love for the 168.056 I do wish this ref has as much dial variation as the older 550 series movement ones, but as my first c-case these will always have a special place for me anyway.

I had a good capped one a few years ago and missed it. I went for a similar strap on the omega site. I had a plain black but it needed some texture.

The most it had was colour variations from gold, silver, blue and I’m sure I’m missing a couple. Then there was a bezel that was coin edged. Apart from that they all we’re the same

All look okay, first one looks best but keep in mind that the hand lumes are missing, maybe not a big deal

Indeed the crowns are replacements but you can still buy gold 42054’s from eBay

I know it's not everything but I don't think I've seen a C-case fail MOY this bad. Based on your experience do you think it's acceptable for a 1967 watch?
