Superb catch, and one you should be rightly proud of. Mine might not be in quite the same league, but I intend to wear it often!

I love the linen dial - wear in good health!

You have an awesome watch, I've been eyeballing a similar one for awhile now...

Cheers, @jB1128 - I’m sure you’ll get yours. The hunt is all part of the fun! Meantime, you have one superlative C-case yourself.

My newest omega. Seems to be in good overall shape. Have not had the caseback off yet. Bracelet is pretty smoked.

Some (major) cleaning and display polishing and it will look totally refreshed  case edges seem to be sharp so it looks all good!

Love these C-cases. Bought one (also with the riffled bezel) from eBay in approx same grind condition. It's a jewel!

    Enjoy!

Thank you. I have a bad habit of over paying for vintage watches so I am sure I did it again. I like it though. I wish the bracelet was in better condition because I do like it. I wonder if anyone rebuilds them like they do on some other brands bracelets. I would like to clean it up for sure but I'm too ignorant to do so myself without guidance.

After 10 weeks away I'd forgotten how comfortable it is on your wrist.

Do you all get them serviced locally or send them away ?

Well, the price for the watch is always the price that it is worth for you!

Rebuilding is expensive. Try it on a strap. Its superb.

Try polywatch for the acrylic. Its a wonder tool. Clean the bracelet in an ultrasonic cleaner. I'd say do it with the case as well but certainly this watch is probably not water resistant anymore and de-casing is probably to difficult if you have never done it ;) so best take an earbud, a bit water and minimal soap - and some patience  try to use as little water as possible and no not come too close to the crown to avoid that water gets in the case.

Or give it to a watchmaker for a professional service if its a keeper for you

I will try to clean it up myself. I will order some polywatch. I am always afraid to do something to hurt the value. I have a seamaster with a non working movement that I could practice any decasing on...

I ordered a few of the cheap case opening tools to try. If the movement looks bad I will certainly have it serviced right away. It is keeping time relatively well.

I know I probably won't see the money back, but I do like to have a nice bracelet even if I use it on a strap. Only one of my six vintage watches have either the original or appropriate bracelet.

The watch is a keeper. They all are. I have tried to sell some for what I paid or close before and had no luck.

good luck with that. Better do not use cheap tools. You will regret sooner than later :taunt:

Sharing my twin - you see, a strap does not look too bad

I think the bergeron case opener will either just work or not work. I don't see it doing any damage. Nice watch. I have no problem running a strap, usually do. Would just like to fix up the bracelet too.

Where did you guys get the bands? Does not seem like many offer 19mm. I have tried three on another watch I have. Only one was satisfactory.

Tonneau case isn’t good appreciate at the beginning. It looks like at the end of some personal itinerary. At first look, it results a little strange and too much peculiar of the ‘70 age...
