Fantastic thread !

I've discovered these Constellation series (which look rather H-shaped to me) just yesterday and have two questions which maybe fellow members will be able to answer :

- What is the lug width for the 168.017 models ?
- Has there ever been a no-date version of these Constellation series ?

Thank you in advance for the pointers you could provide me with 😀

Lug width for the 168.017 model is 19mm
There are cal.561, 564 with 168.017 case or cal.751 with 168.019 case
But not without day or day/date one cal.551
To my knowledge

There are 'C' cases from other Omega lines without calendar function . . .

. . . but I've never seen a Constellation with a cal 551.

Thank you for your inputs guys 😀

Since I'm not a fan of crosshairs, I guess I'll keep my eyes on a Constellation with a date complication.

Hi There,
I’m still looking for my C-case and maybe no to far from it...
I’ve found this one, but have some doubt:
No “T” for lume
2 différents Windows for day and date
I though the configuration with “omega” below hands was for Japanese market, but day are not in Japanese.. or am I wrong?

could you please help me, saying if it worth it to go for this one? Asking price is about 490€.

thanks for your help guys 😀

Wrong dial for Omega 168.029 case.
Should be like this one:

Dial probably from 168.0064 cal.1021

My formally pristine 168.017 with relatively new (and annoying) bezel dent:

I'm super loving this type of c-case connie!

Been waiting a while to contribute to this thread. My C-case arrived today and I’m thrilled with it!

168.017 from around 1970 with linen dial, purchased here from a prominent OF member. Freshly serviced; replacement stem, crown and crystal fitted. Inspired by @Panjo to get a Geckota Milanese for it, too. Really pleased to have joined the C-case club!

It may be the best kept secret, but I did my due diligence, and knew that the pie pans, dogleg lugs and dome dials weren’t for me. And I could only get there thanks to the lovely people here, this wonderful forum and this thread in particular!

better wrist shot soon - these linen dials are tricky to photograph, plus I was still shaking with excitement...😉

New to me, my 1966-1968 Constellation 168.017 gold cap over stainless steel. Just back from the spa, where she received a full service, with the only replacement parts being a new case back gasket and mainspring. All other parts, are as found. My watchmaker (Kelly Hunter, www.artofthewatch.com) is confident that he was the first to open her up and certainly the first to service.

Simply put, she is a spectacular example, and just about perfect - now if I can only work up the gumption to wear her as she's still on the original strap!

And a shout out to a distinguished forum member that gave me some pre-post feedback on this reference, very much appreciated. Now to the pics!

Wow! That is a spectacular specimen. I would swap out the strap for one that’s similar (there are some nice straps out there that speak to this esthetic) and put the original away as that’s the most perishable item- then swap the buckle over to the new strap (or get another buckle with some wear on it). Wearing it with long sleeves will give you some level of protection from the stray bumps.
But a watch that nice should see some serious wrist time IMO, just judiciously.

Thank you for your comments, I agree with you 100%. There are a ton of good strap options, and that's a great suggestion to swap the buckle over, thanks!
It was a lucky find on eBay with a poor description and terrible photos, just like a dream come true 😉.
