I thought Kyrgios + the rather minimalist gentle BBC commentary approach for Wimbledon was a real winning combination, BBC commentary is usually quite understated and minimal, but this particular combination was some of the best commentary I can remember
Unfortunately we get the ESPN feeds from the US for the US Open and most majors, so the commentators tend to yabber on all through the play - drives me crazy. They used to at least stop during a point, but now what is happening on court doesn't seem to alter their commentating.

Not tennis but golf: David Feherty reférs to Jim Furyks' swing like a snake falling out of a tree' Peter Alliss was soothing. Back to tennis; McEnroe claimed thé only shot Ivanisevic had was his serve; explain that to Pat Rafter

My favorite shot was the half volley almost behind me- down thé line with thé opponents momentum. Anyone else have a favorite shot? Backhand half volley down thé line. Tip: dropshotcatches should usually, unless anticipated be hit down the line. It works, try it

Yes that was crazy. I cannot recall a match where both players hammered the ball so much. The gets both players made were amazing, and they put the ball back with such pace off the stretch.

I was watching the match with my son who played high school tennis. At one point he said "How does he even get to that?". You could have said that 100s of times during the match. Tennis played at its highest possible level. Fun to be able to witness.

My jaw is still on the rug. There's been power before, but this was all with such variety but also discipline. The fitness levels meant the quality stayed high all through. For spectators there were gasps every minute. For five and a half hours! I simply don't know what to say. If we get ten years of this I'll be drained just watching. How fortunate we are!

Is anybody planning to go to the US Open In August-September NYC? I went a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I’m thinking about going again this year.

And that neither of them left the court at any time is so impressive and shows such dedication and respect. Truly epic levels of fitness. Looking forward to seeing these two meeting in grand slam finals many times in the future.

I go every year and it is always a great time. I have to admit a slight annoyance that ticket prices have more than doubled in the last 6 or 7 years, but I guess that is the price of the sport gaining popularity. I also have been going for a day during "fan week" the week before the tournament starts for the last few years. You can see the players practice and also the qualifying tournament. It is really enjoyable and you can get right up next to the courts. Admission is free! ...but the honeyduces are still $22, haha.

Being 1-0 up against the GOAT means very little, even with Djokovic entering what has to be the twilight of his career.

Great comeback by Djokovic. Hopefully he will not make it through the quarterfinals. I have a bit of Djokovic-fatigue.

Let’s all enjoy a picture of one of the types of yoga Djokovic does. Looks like cocooned people from some sci-fi horror movie 😄😄
