Isn't a imagination the best, no matter what you want, just think hard and you can get it done,no cash involved of course.

If it were me, you'd be prising that SM from my cold dead fingers, along with the keys to this... that SM is far too nice to let go. Some things you have to keep.

Just keep it馃槈

Cheers, Chris

I agree with some others comments here. There is definitely a "cross-over" challenge when trying to trade a Seamaster for Speedy. Getting to the bottom dollar value will help you understand what may be a reasonable swap.

Then you could always wait for the right trader to come along, but what you're looking for may take some time.

Still on the thinking process, I was questioning myself about the trade process itself. I am in the EU and if, for example, I decided to trade with a non-EU trader, does it mean that we will both have to pay the custom fee? Even if there is no money involved?

Good question - I suspect that governments will have a way of extracting some form of tax but I don't know how.
Maybe a member may have the requisite knowledge.

In the UK, even if a vintage piece, you would have to pay 20% VAT plus a small "Import Duty" plus "handling cost" for taking the money from you, this will be pennies off 25% of the declared value
(I think anything above $30 USD will be charged)
And yes, even if no money changes hands, I had the same issue last week.

The only way you would be able to not pay the charge is to prove it was sold in an EU country originally or underdeclare the cost.
Which is illegal but done all the time.
