The surfboard reissues are very well done even with applied markers and step surf-board- but it’s mechaquartz which is a deal breaker for some.

Considering the original Surf Board references are largely out of reach for many (I have seen them listed north of $3k), that is a very well done reissue that would be a hard temptation to say no to. Even with the mechaquartz. It looks accurate to size too?

Oh damnit, and I just burned the last of my 2020 watch buying budget.

What's the depth rating on it? Looks like it could be a fun watch to travel with.

Lucky for you, we are in 2022 😁 That budget should have refreshed twice over by now ::stirthepot::

Ok, that's it. I'm out. I've clearly been looking at screens too much today. 😲

I thought life stopped March 14, 2020…have we restarted the clock again? I didn’t get the memo.

I think the size was 40mm, don’t quote me though. I bought it as a gift for a close friend who wanted one and I couldn’t resist trying it on when it arrived (the pics above). I was impressed with the build quality and since the second counter is the little hand on the left, you don’t really notice the tick-tick-tick of the quart. The mechanical chrono counter is nice and mechanical.

So that's where they are all hiding! Can't believe how many original bracelets you managed to assemble to go with them.

I've just got one vintage Bulova:

I'd love to add the 'B' model to the collection one day. OP, don't trade yours. You'll regret it, I think.
I got lucky on a couple that came with bracelets but of course always too short so had to track down donor bracelet for links which then leads to more bracelets for which I need links. I have a pretty scary collection of vintage bracelets now.
Luckily JB Champion bracelets were made en mass for several companies (including Omega) and some fly under the radar with a generic or differently branded clasp. Getting the correct one (with endlinks) for each reference is the fun part of this hobby.
